name of Te Umumango, containing by estimation
600 acres or thereabouts. Boundaries: Commencing
at Hamoringa; thence following the sea-coast to
Rauwawa; thence to Tokitoki; thence to Te Rakau-
whakamatuku; thence following the survey-line of
Te Mahanga Block, Parinuitera; thence to Te Upoko-
o-Paea; thence to Te Rakauwhakatangitangi; thence
to Te Kahika; thence following the Waiau River to
Taumanuhiri Opupu; thence to Mangahouhouriki;
thence following the survey line of the Takararoa
Block to Takapaukura; thence to Hamoringa, the
starting point.

MANAWATU No. 1, OR UMUTAOROA.

All that parcel of land in the Seventy-Mile Bush
District, situate partly in the Provincial District of
Hawke's Bay and partly in the Provincial District of
Wellington, and known by the name of Manawatu
No. 1, or Umutaoroa, containing by admeasurement
27,803 acres or thereabouts—namely, 19,473 acres in
the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay, and 8,330
acres in the Provincial District of Wellington.
Bounded on the North by the Manawatu No. 2, or
Piripiri Block; on the East by the said Manawatu No. 2,
or Piripiri, and the Manawatu No. 4, or Tiratu Blocks;
on the South by the Tahoraite No. 2 and the Tamaki
Blocks; and on the West by the Manawatu Block:
save and excepting 22,830 acres, more or less,
namely 14,500 acres in the Provincial District of
Hawke's Bay, and 8,330 acres in the Provincial Dis-
trict of Wellington, now held in freehold tenure by
the Crown.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Administrator of the Government, this
fourteenth day of December, one thou-
sand eight hundred and eighty-two.

West Coast (North Island), Wellington, Canter-
bury, Otago, and Westland.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth
section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted
that the Governor may from time to time, either by
general or particular description, and whether the
same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale
temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be
then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands
which, in his opinion, are required for any of the
purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Admin-
istrator of the Government of the Colony of New
Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers
and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do
hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the
Land Districts of West Coast (North Island), Wel-
lington, Canterbury, Otago, and Westland, described
in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes
in the said Schedule specified.

SCHEDULE.

WEST COAST, NORTH ISLAND.

ALL that area in the Provincial District of Taranaki,
situated in the Opunake Survey District, being Sec-
tion No. 2 of Block IX., and containing by admea-
surement 12 acres, more or less. Bounded towards
the North-east from the Otahi River by Sections Nos.
8 and 7 to Wilson Road; towards the South-east by
that road to the sea; towards the South-west by the
sea and by a Native burial-ground to the Otahi River;
and towards the North-west by that river to Section
No. 8 before mentioned; as the same is delineated on

the plans in the Survey Office, New Plymouth. For
a cemetery.

WELLINGTON.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Wellington, containing by admeasurement 130 acres
3 roods, more or less, being Section No. 12 of
Block V., Waipakura Survey District. Bounded
towards the North and West by a public road;
towards the East by Section No. 14, 3457 links; and
towards the South by Section No. 13, 3740 links.

Also all that other parcel of land, containing by
admeasurement 107 acres 2 roods, being Section
No. 18 of Block IX., Waipakura District. Bounded
towards the North by Section No. 17, 5057 links;
towards the East by a public road; towards the
South by Section No. 3, 6038 links; and towards the
West by Section No. 4, 1879 links.

As the above sections are shown on the plans
thereof deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor,
Wellington. For primary education.

All those two pieces of land containing 49 acres
and 8 perches, more or less, comprising Section No.
376, in the Township of Carnarvon. Firstly. Con-
taining 8 acres 1 rood 37 perches, more or less:
bounded towards the North, 1035 links, by the Ferry
Reserve; towards the South-east, 1918 links, by a
public road; and towards the West, 1023 links and
512 links by Crown land. Secondly. Containing 40
acres 2 roods 11 perches, more or less: bounded
towards the North-east, 1764 links, by a public road;
towards the South-east, 2016 links, by Crown land;
towards the South-west, 2260 links, by Crown land
and Section No. 377; and towards the North-west,
2077 links, by a public road: be all the above
measurements a little more or less. For a pilot-
station.

CANTERBURY.

All that parcel of land in the Township of Aro-
whenua, containing 13 acres and 12 perches, more or
less. Bounded—Southward by High Street and by
Reserve No. 857 (in red); Westward by the western
boundary of that reserve produced to the Tauma-
takahu Creek; Northward by the said creek; and
Eastward by Reserve No. 1067 (in red); and numbered
2558 (in red) on the official map of the Town of
Arowhenua, in the Survey Office, Christchurch. For
an extension of the public cemetery.

OTAGO.

All that area in the Provincial District of Otago,
situated in the Town of Ophir, being Section No. 3
of Block II., and containing by admeasurement 35
poles, more or less. Bounded towards the North-
west by Swindon Street; towards the North-east by
Section No. 4 of said Block II.; towards the South-
east by a road line; and towards the South-west by
Section No. 2 of said Block II. to Swindon Street
before mentioned: as the same is delineated on the
plans in the Survey Office, Dunedin. For a site for
a courthouse.

WESTLAND.

Two acres, more or less, being Reserve No. 243
(in red), Block XV., on the map of the Waimea
Survey District. Bounded towards the North by
the Greenstone Road (original), 518 links; towards
the South-east by Crown lands, 467 links; towards
the South-west by Crown lands, 500 links; and
towards the North-west by Crown lands, 335 links:
be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less.
For a school site.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Administrator of the Government, this
sixteenth day of December, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-two.
