All that piece or parcel of land containing by
admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood, being portion of Sec-
tion No. 20516, commencing at the north-west corner
of said section. Bounded—North-easterly by a line,
29 links; Easterly by a line, 1275 links; Southerly by
a line, 100 links; Westerly and North-westerly by
lines to commencing point, 1201 and 110 links.
Be all the aforesaid areas and linkages either more
or less; the several parcels of land being situate in
the Survey District of Kowai, Provincial District of
Canterbury, and are more particularly delineated
upon the plan marked P.W.D. 8280, deposited in the
office of the Minister for Public Works, at Welling-
ton, in the Provincial District of Wellington.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
fourteenth day of November, 1882.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the second section of "The Pro-
perty-Tax Act, 1882," it is provided that the
duties therein mentioned shall be paid on such day
as the Governor in Council may direct:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government in Council, in exercise and pur-
suance of the powers and authorities vested in him
by the said Act, and of all other powers and authori-
ties in anywise enabling him in that behalf, and by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the Colony of New Zealand, doth hereby
appoint that the day on which the duty mentioned in
the second section of the said Act, for and in respect
of all property, shall be paid shall be the twenty-fifth
day of January, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-three.

At the Government House, at Wellington this
twelfth day of December, 1882.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule
hereto were reserved for gravel-pits: And
whereas, in the opinion of the Administrator of the
Government, it is expedient to vest the said lands
in the Chairman, Councillors, and inhabitants of the
Manawatu County:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by section four
of "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," doth hereby
declare that, from and after the day of the date
hereof, the said reserves shall become vested in the
Chairman, Councillors, and inhabitants of the Mana-
watu County, in trust, for gravel-pits.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Wellington, containing by admeasurement 10 acres
2 roods, more or less, being Section No. 590 on
the plan of the Township of Carnarvon. Bounded
towards the East by Section No. 216, 1750 links;
towards the South by a public road, 420 links; and
towards the West and North by the Rangitikei
River.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Wellington, containing by admeasurement 7 acres 2
roods 23 perches, more or less, being Section No. 318,
Township of Sandon. Bounded towards the East
by a public road, 2267 links; towards the South
by a public road, 216 links and 422 links; and
towards the West by Section No. 64, 1489 links.
