Vesting Reserves in the Manawatu County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twelfth day of December, 1882.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule
were reserved for ferries: And where-
as, in the opinion of the Administrator of the
Government, it is expedient to vest the said lands
in the Chairman, Councillors, and inhabitants of the
County of Manawatu:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by section four
of "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," doth hereby
declare that, from and after the day of the date
hereof, the said reserves shall become vested in the
Chairman, Councillors, and inhabitants of the County
of Manawatu, in trust, for ferry purposes.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Wellington, containing by admeasurement 122 acres,
more or less, being Section No. 268 on the plan
of the Township of Foxton. Bounded towards the
North by Crown lands, 6300 links; towards the East
by Crown lands, 2450 links; towards the South by
Crown lands; and towards the South-west by the
Manawatu River.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Wellington, containing by admeasurement 44 acres,
being Section No. 269 on the plan of the Town-
ship of Foxton. Bounded towards the North by un-
surveyed land; towards the South-east by a road-
line; and towards the South-west and North-west
by unsurveyed land.

Volunteer Rules and Regulations.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twelfth day of December, 1882.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly
of New Zealand intituled "The Volunteer
Act, 1881," power is given to the Governor in
Council from time to time to make, alter, and revoke
regulations respecting the several matters specified
in the said Act: And whereas by an Order in Coun-
cil dated the twenty-second day of November, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-two, certain regu-
lations were made under the said power contained
in the said Act: And whereas it is expedient that
the said regulations shall not come into force until
the first day of January, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-three:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand,
in pursuance of the said powers, doth by this present
Order in Council hereby make the following regula-
tion, that is to say,-

The regulations made by Order in Council dated
the nineteenth day of October, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-four, shall be the regulations in
force for the several purposes therein mentioned
until the first day of January, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-three, and shall be acted on
accordingly; and the regulations made by Order in
Council dated the twenty-second day of November,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two, shall not
come into operation or be acted on until the said first
day of January, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-three, but shall on that day become and be of
full force and effect.

Te Aroha Hot Springs Recreation-ground brought
under "The Public Domains Act, 1881."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twelfth day of December, 1882.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in
me by the twenty-fourth section of "The Public
Reserves Act, 1881," I, James Prendergast, the
Administrator of the Government of the Colony of
New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of
the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby
order and declare that the reserve made for public
recreation in the Provincial District of Auckland, and
known as the Te Aroha Hot Springs Recreation-
ground, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall
be and the same is hereby brought under the opera-
tion of and declared to be subject to the provisions
of "The Public Domains Act, 1881;" and such
domain shall hereafter be managed, administered, and
dealt with in manner directed by the said Acts.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land called or known as
the Hot Springs Reserve, situated in Block IX., Te
Aroha Survey District, Provincial District of Auck-
land, and containing by admeasurement 20 acres,
more or less. Bounded towards the North-west by
Section 1 of the Town of Te Aroha, and by land
hereafter to be granted to Rina Mokena and others,
1818 links; towards the North-east by land hereafter
to be granted to Rina Mokena and others aforesaid,
1100 links; towards the South-east by land hereafter
to be granted to Rina Mokena and others aforesaid,
1818 links; and towards the South-west by Whitaker
Street, 1100 links, to the point of commencement:
be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a
recreation-ground.
