Land set apart on Deferred Payments in Taranaki.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the fifty-third section of “The Land Act, 1877,” it is enacted that the Governor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from time to time set apart out of any suburban or rural lands such blocks or allotments of land as he shall think fit, and set the same aside for sale on deferred payments, and in such Proclamation may fix a day on which the land shall be open for application; and that he may also in like manner set apart for sale on deferred payments such blocks or allotments as may be recommended by any Land Board, and may also from time to time alter, amend, or revoke any such Proclamation:

And whereas the Land Board of Taranaki did, on the thirty-first day of March and fifteenth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one, pass resolutions recommending that the land described in the Schedule hereto annexed should be set apart for sale on deferred payments:

And whereas it is expedient to give effect to the aforesaid recommendations, and to set apart the said land accordingly:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the above-named Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is set apart for sale on deferred payments; and that Thursday, the eighth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one, shall be the day on which the said land shall be open for application at the Land Office at New Plymouth, in allotments as surveyed and marked on the selection map in that office.

In pursuance of section four of “The Land Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1879,” I do hereby declare that subsection four of the sixty-third section of “The Land Act, 1877,” shall not apply to any of the lands described in the Schedule hereto.

And, further, in pursuance of the fifth section of “The Land Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1879,” I do hereby fix the price at which the land so described shall be sold to be the price set opposite each allotment in the Schedule hereto.

Extending the Boundaries of the Borough of Arrowtown.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876,” and the Acts amending the same, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the district the boundaries whereof are specified in the First Schedule hereto is hereby incorporated into the Borough of Arrowtown and added to the Camp Ward of the said borough, and that the boundaries of the said borough shall be those described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 23 acres, more or less, being Sections Nos. 36, 37, and 67 of Block VII., Shotover Survey District; and bounded towards the North-west by Section No. 38 of said block; towards the North-east by the Borough of Arrowtown; and towards the South-west by Sections Nos. 66, 65, 64, 63, and 62 of said Block VII.: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Dunedin.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 457 acres, more or less; and bounded towards the North-east by the Arrow River to a point on its bank in continuation of the southern boundary-line of Section No. 25, Block VII., Shotover Survey District; towards the South by said line to said Section No. 25; towards the South-west by said Section No. 25 and Sections Nos. 30, 31, 32, 88, 33, 34, 35, 66, 65, 64, 63, 62, and 61 of said Block VII.; again towards the South by said Block VII. to the eastern boundary-line of Section No. 7 of Block XVIII.; towards the West by that boundary-line and its continuation, for a distance of 3398 links; thence by a line due east to the Arrow River, a distance of 2380 links, the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Dunedin.
