PATETERE-ROTORUA.

All that parcel of land situated in the Patetere
North-east, Rotorua, Ngautuku, and Horohoro Sur-
vey Districts, in the Provincial District of Auckland,
known by the name of Patetere-Rotorua, containing
approximately 32,500 acres. Bounded generally on
the North-west by a straight line from Te Tutu to
Te Taupaki; thence to Te Arawere; thence to the
Whaiti-Kurauui boundary; thence by the Whaiti-
Kuranui boundary aforesaid to its junction with the
boundary of the Kokako Block; thence towards the
West by the boundary of the Kokako Block aforesaid,
and by the Takapuhurihuri or Oraka Stream to
Opuhutu; thence towards the South-east by a
straight line from Opahutu to Ngongotaha; thence
by a straight line from Ngongotaha to Waikuta;
thence towards the East by the Rotorua Lake to the
point of commencement.

Notification of the Relinquishment by Her Majesty
of Negotiations for the Purchase of certain Native
Lands in the North Island.

IN pursuance of the provisions of "The Govern-
ment Native Land Purchases Act, 1877," and
"The Government Native Land Purchases Act
Amendment Act, 1878," it is hereby notified that
Her Majesty the Queen, from this day forth, relin-
quishes the negotiations that have been entered into,
by or on behalf of Her said Majesty, for the purchase
or acquisition of the block of Native land in the
North Island which is more particularly described
and mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

ALL that block or parcel of land in the District of
Thames, in the Provincial District of Auckland, con-
taining by admeasurement 6,780 acres or there-
abouts. Bounded towards the North by Te Puia

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and au-
thorities vested in me by the second section
of "The Cemeteries Management Act, 1877," I,
James Prendergast, Chief Justice of the Colony of
New Zealand, and Administrator of the Government
thereof, do hereby appoint the several persons whose
names are specified in the first column of the Schedule
hereto to be Trustees to provide for the maintenance
and care of the public cemetery specified in the
second column of the said Schedule.
