Notification of the Payment of Money on and Entry
into Negotiations for the Purchase of Native Lands
in the North Island.

IN pursuance of the provisions of "The Govern-
ment Native Land Purchases Act, 1877," it is
hereby notified that money has been paid by or on
behalf of Her Majesty the Queen for the purchase
or acquisition of the several blocks of Native land in
the North Island which are more particularly de-
scribed and mentioned in the Schedule hereto; and,
further, that negotiations in respect of such purchases
or acquisitions as aforesaid have been entered into by
or on behalf of Her said Majesty.

SCHEDULE.

WAIKAO.

ALL that parcel of land in the District of Hokianga,
in the Provincial District of Auckland, known by the
name of Waikao, containing by admeasurement 848
acres, more or less. Bounded towards the North-
east by a line, 12693 links; towards the East by the
Awarua Block, 529 links, 509 links, 203 links, 272
links, 359 links, 225 links, 488 links, 193 links, 234
links, 2245 links, 646 links, 475 links, 151 links, 425
links, 227 links, 446 links, 212 links, 297 links, 186
links, and 150 links; towards the South by the
Otaienga Stream; and towards the South-west by
the Te Huehue No. 2 Block 7690 links, 3401 links,

PIPIWHARAUROA.

All that parcel of land in the District of Whangarei,
in the Provincial District of Auckland, known by the
name of Pipiwharauroa, containing by admeasurement
282 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the North
and East by the Hikanui Stream and the Kaiikanui
Stream; towards the South-east by the Opuawhanga
No. 4 Block, 230 links, 1305 links, 3669 links, 786
links, and 1346 links; and towards the South and
West by the Opuawhanga No. 4 Block aforesaid,
1856 links, 615 links, 598 links, 640 links, 450 links,
and 1126 links.

TIKINUI.

All that parcel of land in the District of Kaipara,
in the Provincial District of Auckland, known by
the name of Tikinui, containing by admeasurement
10,702 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the
North-east by the Wairoa River; towards the South-
east by the parish boundary of Te Kuri, 34195 links;
towards the South-west by the sea; and towards the
North-west by the Oruapo Block, 30539 links.

WAITOMOTOMO.

All that parcel of land in the District of Manga-
kahia, in the Provincial District of Auckland, known
