Extension of Time for Preparation of Valuation
Rolls, Waimate Road District, County of Patea.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-second day of September, 1881.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that
certain things required to be done by "The
Rating Act, 1876," in connection with the making
and revision of the valuation roll of the Waimate
Road District, in the County of Patea, cannot be
done within the times required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, in
exercise of the power and authority vested in him by
the said Act, and by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth
hereby extend the time for the doing of the said
things in connection with the valuation roll of the
said district, and doth declare that the time for the
doing of such several things shall be those which
are specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

  1. For transmitting to the local body the valuation
    list: On or before the 1st September, 1881.
  2. Valuation list to be open for inspection and
    objections thereto to be received: Until the 15th
    October, 1881.

Amending By-laws on the New Zealand Railways.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-second day of September, 1881.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance of the power and authority vested in
him by the one hundred and forty-fifth section
of "The Public Works Act, 1876," and of all other
powers and authorities in anywise enabling, His
Excellency the Administrator of the Government of
the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth
hereby make the following amendments in the under-
mentioned by-laws, and doth declare that the same
shall come into force on the several lines of railways
in New Zealand from the date hereof :-

In by-law nine, made by Order in Council dated
the sixth day of January, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-one, the words, "Any passenger joining a
train at a booking-station without first having provided
himself with a ticket will be charged double rates to
the first station at which the train stops, and shall then
re-book to destination." are hereby struck out, and
the following words are substituted in lieu thereof,
namely: "Any passenger joining a train at a booking-
station without having previously provided himself
with a ticket will be charged one shilling in addition
to the ordinary fare."

By-law forty-five, made by Order in Council,
dated the sixth day of January, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-one, is hereby amended as fol-
lows, that is to say: The figures "52" shall be struck

out wherever they occur, and the figures "51" in-
serted in lieu thereof.

Incorporation of the Temuka and Geraldine Agri-
cultural and Pastoral Association.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-seventh day of September, 1881.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.

IN exercise of the powers vested in him by "The
Agricultural and Pastoral Societies Act, 1877,"

His Excellency the Administrator of the Government
of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby incorporate the members of the
Temuka and Geraldine Agricultural and Pastoral
Association into a corporate body under the said
Act, under the style and title of "The Temuka and
Geraldine Agricultural and Pastoral Association."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-seventh day of September, 1881.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council bearing date
the fourteenth day of September, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-eight, made and issued
under the authority of "The Public Domains Act,
1860," "The Public Domains Act, 1865," and "The
Public Reserves Act, 1877," certain powers were, in
respect of certain lands referred to in a further
Order in Council of the same date, made and issued
under "The Public Reserves Act, 1877," aforesaid,
delegated to Robert King, Stewart Bates, George
Stevenson, John Forsyth Connelly, and Henry Wat-
son Penny:

Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, Chief
Justice of the Colony of New Zealand, and Ad-
ministrator of the Government thereof, by virtue
and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in
me by "The Public Domains Act, 1860," aforesaid,
and by and with the advice of the Executive Council
of the said colony, do hereby revoke the Order in
Council delegating the Governor's powers to the
above-named persons; and do hereby further dele-
gate, in respect of the lands referred to in the afore-
said Orders in Council, all the powers conferred by
"The Public Domains Act, 1860," except the powers
under or conferred by subsections five and ten of sec-
tion five, and section eleven, to the under-mentioned
persons, who shall be known as the Opotiki Domain
Board:-
