Declaring "Regulation of Local Elections Act, 1876,"
in force within the Riccarton Road District, County
of Selwyn.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue of the power vested in me by the third
section of "The Regulation of Local Elections
Act, 1876," I, James Prendergast, the Administrator
of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the said Act shall
come into force, in respect of all the elective offices
of the Riccarton Road Board, within the district
known as the Riccarton Road District.

Proclaiming a Hundred in Otago under "The Land
Act, 1877."

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section thirteen of Appendix H
of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted that
it shall be lawful for the Governor from time to
time, by Proclamation published in the New Zealand
Gazette, to constitute into a hundred any portion of
the Crown lands not forming part of any hundred
previously proclaimed, notwithstanding that such
lands or any part thereof shall be comprised within
any pastoral lease or license heretofore or hereafter
to be granted by the Crown under any law regu-
lating the occupation or disposal of Crown lands,
and whether or not the same shall have been included
within the boundaries of any proclaimed gold field:
And whereas the Land Board of Otago have re-
commended that the land described in the Schedule
hereto should be proclaimed a hundred under the
provisions of the said Act:
And whereas it is expedient that effect should be
given to the said recommendation of the Land Board:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, Chief Jus-
tice of the Colony of New Zealand, and Adminis-
trator of the Government thereof, in pursuance and
exercise of the powers vested in me by the herein-
before in part recited Act, do hereby proclaim that
the portion of the waste lands particularly described
in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby
constituted into a hundred, under and for the pur-
poses of the said Act; and that it shall be called or
known by the name set above the description of the
said hundred in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
BLACKSTONE HUNDRED.
ALL that area in the Provincial District of Otago,
containing by admeasurement 5,700 acres, more or
less, being parts of Blocks VII. and X. of Blackstone
Survey District. Bounded towards the North by
Section No. 4 of Block VII.; towards the North-
east by a road-line; again towards the North by
Section No. 14; towards the North-west by a road-
line; again towards the North-east and towards the
East by a road-line, and by Block VIII. to Block X.;
again towards the North by said Block VIII. to the
Manuherikia River; towards the South-east by that
river; towards the West by Dunstan Creek to a
point in line with the southern boundary-line of Sec-
tion No. 4 before mentioned; and thence by a right
line to said boundary-line: as the same is delineated
on the plans deposited in the District Survey Office,
Dunedin.

Extension of Time for Preparation of County Rolls,
County of Patea.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-second day of September, 1881.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it has been made to appear that cer-
tain things required to be done by "The
Counties Act, 1876," in connection with the making
and revision of the county roll of the County of
Patea cannot be done by or within the times re-
quired by the said Act:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, in
exercise of the power and authority vested in him by
the two hundred and eleventh section of the said
Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby
extend the time for the doing of the said things in
connection with the county roll of the said County
of Patea, and doth declare that the time for the
doing of such several things shall be those which are
specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
-
For the preparation of the county roll: On or
before the 26th October, 1881. -
Roll shall be open for inspection, and objections
thereto received: From the 27th October, 1881, to
the 12th November, 1881. -
Day appointed for revision of roll: Some day
on or after the 21st November, 1881, but Revision
Court shall not sit after the 5th December, 1881. -
Roll shall come into force: On the 19th
December, 1881.
