We hereby also give notice that we intend to con-
struct a Dam-bank and form a Reservoir for the
storage of water across the Tuapeka River, about
seven miles down the river from Lawrence; and that
the following are the particulars respecting such
dam and reservoir:-

  1. Locality, seven miles down the river from
    Lawrence.
  2. Length of dam, 50 feet.
  3. Greatest height, 3 feet.
  4. Greatest breadth of base, 6 feet.
  5. Area of reservoir, 1 aere or thereabouts.
  6. Time estimated for construction, thirty days.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-
RACE.

Switzer's, 26th July, 1881.

To the Mining Registrar at Switzer's of the
Switzer's Mining District, and all other persons
whom it may concern.

TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a
Water-race and divert water from the east side
of the Argyle Creek, one mile above its junction
with the Winding Creek, and terminating at the
Switzer's Freehold Gold-Mining Company's claim.

The length of such race is about three miles or
thereabouts; the depth of such race is 2 feet 6
inches, and the breadth is 4 feet; and it is intended
to divert twenty heads of water.

Date and number of miner's right: 12th July,
1881; 505.

I, the undersigned, hereby make application to
register the Earnest Gold-Mining Company
as a Limited Company under the provisions of "The
Mining Companies Act, 1872."

  1. The name of the Company is to be the Earnest Gold-
    Mining Company (Limited).
  2. The place of intended operations is at Mount Arthur, in
    the Land District of Nelson, in New Zealand,

    the City of Dunedin.
  2. The nominal capital of the Company is twenty-four thou-
    sand pounds, in twenty-four thousand shares of one pound each.

  4. The number of paid-up shares is nil.
  5. The amount already considered as paid up is twelve thou-
    sand pounds.

PELORUS SAW-MILL COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that, at an extraordinary
general meeting of the Shareholders of the
above Company, held at James's Terminus Hotel,
Picton, on the 18th July, 1881, at 7 p.m., all Share-
holders being present either in person or by proxy,
the following resolution was passed: "That the
Pelorus Saw-mill Company (Limited) be wound up
voluntarily, in accordance with the provisions of
'The Joint-Stock Companies Act, 1860,' and the
amendments thereof."

And notice is hereby given that, at an extraordinary
general meeting, held at James's Terminus Hotel,
Picton, on the 23rd August, 1881, at 10 a.m., all the
Shareholders being present either in person or by
proxy, it was unanimously resolved that the resolu-
tion passed at the extraordinary general meeting of
the Shareholders of the Pelorus Saw-mill Company
(Limited), convened and held at James's Terminus
Hotel, Picton, on the 18th July, 1881, "That the
