NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-
RACE.
District of Otago Gold Fields,
23rd August, 1881.
To the Warden at Lawrence.
WE hereby give notice that we intend to construct
a Water-race to divert and use water for mining
purposes, commencing at a point on the Tuapeka
River seven miles or thereabouts from Lawrence,
and terminating at our claim, on the bank of the
said river, thirteen miles from Lawrence.
The length of such race is six miles or thereabouts,
and its intended course is along the south side of
the Tuapeka River downwards. The mean depth of
