SCHEDULE.

BOUNDED towards the North-west by the south-
eastern and part of the eastern boundaries of the
Hunua Highway District, from the Great South Road
to the westernmost angle of Allotment No. 4 of the
Parish of Otau; thence continuing along the north-
western boundary of said Lot No. 4 to its north-
eastern angle; towards the North-east by the
north-eastern boundary of Allotment No. 4, before
mentioned, and the north-eastern boundary of
Allotment No. 8, to the eastern angle of the last-
named lot; thence by the eastern boundary of
Allotment No. 38 to its easternmost angle; thence
by a right line to the north-eastern angle of Allot-
ment No. 14 of the Parish of Otau aforesaid; thence
by another right line to the north-eastern angle of
Allotment No. 10; thence by the eastern and part of
the southern boundary of Allotment No. 10 afore-
said, the crossing of a road 100 links wide, and by
the eastern boundaries of Allotments Nos. 37, 11, 12,
and 13, to the south-eastern angle of the last-named
lot; towards the South by the southern boundary of
Allotment No. 13 aforesaid, and crossing the road
which forms the western boundary of said lot to its
western side; thence northerly by the western side of
said road to the northern angle of Allotment No. 130;
thence by part of the western boundary of Allotment
No. 130, the northern boundary of Allotment No.
129, the crossing of a road of width aforesaid, the
south-eastern boundaries of Allotments Nos. 260 and
90 to the north-eastern angle of Allotment No. 117;
thence by the northern boundary of Allotment No. 117
to the western side of the road which forms the south-
western boundary of Allotment No. 91; thence by
the western and southern sides of that road to the
north-eastern angle of Allotment No. 251; thence by
the eastern and southern boundaries of Allotment
No. 251, and part of the south-eastern boundary of
Allotment No. 122, and by said boundary produced
to the southern side of the road which forms the
southern boundary of the last-named lot; thence by
the southern and eastern sides of that road to a point
on the same, being the production in an easterly
direction of the southern boundary of Allotment
No. 170, and by said line and the southern boundary
of Allotment No. 170 aforesaid produced to the
western side of the road which forms its south-
western boundary; thence continuing along the
western side of said road to the north-eastern angle
of Allotment No. 169; thence by the northern boun-
dary of Allotment No. 169 aforesaid, part of the
western boundary of Allotment No. 168, and the
southern boundary of Allotment No. 165, to the road
which forms the western boundary of the last-named
lot, of the Parish of Opaheke aforesaid; and thence
continuing along the eastern and southern sides of
said road to its junction with the Great South Road
aforesaid at the southern angle of Allotment No.
49 of the Parish of Opaheke aforesaid; and towards
the South-west by the Great South Road to the
south eastern boundary of the Hunua Highway Dis-
trict, first mentioned, the place of commencement.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this seventeenth day of August,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
one.

"Highways Act, 1874" (Auckland), brought into
Operation in the Opuheke District.

ARTHUR GORDON, Governor.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers and
authorities vested in me by an Act of the
Province of Auckland intituled "The Highways Act,

1874," and by "The Abolition of Provinces Act,
1875," I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that I
do hereby bring the said "Highways Act, 1874,"
into operation in the Opaheke Highway District; and
I further notify that I do hereby appoint the tenth
day of September, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-one, at noon, at the Schoolhouse, Ararimu, to
be the day, hour, and place for the first meeting of
ratepayers for the said district; and I appoint Thomas
Jackson, Esquire, R.M., to be the Chairman of such
meeting.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this seventeenth day of August,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
one.

Paparata Highway District, County of Manukau,
constituted.

ARTHUR GORDON, Governor.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers and
authorities vested in me by an Act of the Pro-
vince of Auckland intituled "The Highways Act,
1874," and by "The Abolition of Provinces Act,
1875," I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, hereby notify that I do
hereby create that portion of the Provincial District
of Auckland described in the Schedule hereto a new
highway district, under the said "Highways Act,
1874," by the distinctive name of the Paparata High-
way District, and I declare that the boundaries of
the said district shall be those defined in the Schedule
hereto.

SCHEDULE.

COMMENCING at a point on the centre of the Great
South Road at its junction with the road which tra-
verses Allotment No. 49 of the Parish of Opaheke.
Bounded towards the North by a line from the
centre of the Great South Road from the point
above named to the southern side of the road which
traverses Allotment No. 49 of the Parish of Opaheke
aforesaid; thence by the southern side of said road
which forms the northern boundaries of Allotments
Nos. 97, 96, 94, and 93 of small lots known as the
Bombay Settlement, and also the northern boun-
daries of Allotments Nos. 163, 218, and 198, and
continuing along the south side of said road to its
junction with the road which forms the eastern
boundary of Allotment No. 164; thence crossing
said road and continuing along its eastern side to the
northern boundary of Allotment No. 166 of the
Parish of Opaheke aforesaid; thence by the northern
and part of the eastern boundaries of Allotment No.
166 last named, and the northern boundary of Allot-
ment No. 169, to the road which forms its eastern
boundary; thence southerly by the western side of
said road to a point being the production in a
westerly direction of the northern boundary of Allot-
ment No. 171, and crossing at the point last named
to the north-western angle of Allotment No. 171
aforesaid, and by the northern boundary of said
Allotment No. 171, the crossing of a road which
forms its eastern boundary, to the westernmost angle
of Allotment No. 172; thence by the eastern side of
said road to the northernmost angle of Allotment
No. 172 aforesaid; thence by the western side of
the road which forms the north-eastern boundary of
said Allotment No. 172 to a point on the same, being
the production in a south-westerly direction of the
north-western boundary of Allotment 246; thence
by said line and by the north-western and northern
boundaries of Allotment No. 246 aforesaid, the
