UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in
the Land Board by "The Land Act, 1877," it
is hereby notified that the rural lands mentioned in
the Schedule hereunder will be open for selection,
under the homestead system, on Monday, the 29th
August next.

Terms of Sale: One-fourth of purchase-money to
be paid at time of application, and the balance within
one month thereafter, otherwise the part of the
purchase-money paid by way of deposit shall be for-
feited, and the contract for the sale of the land shall
henceforward be null and void.
Crown-grant fee to be paid on completion of pur-
chase.

IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the
Governor has been pleased to pronounce the
under-mentioned gold-mining leases cancelled, and
that the ground is now open for application as if no
leases of the said ground had ever been applied for:-

Lemuel McNair; 10 acres, Section 3, Block II,
Ahaura District, in the Nelson South-West Gold
Fields. No. 888.

Thomas Weir; 3 acres, 1 rood 1 perch, Section 41,
Block IX., Waitakeri District, in the Nelson South-
West Gold Fields. No. 901.
