N OTICE is hereby given that JOHN BATGER,
of Auckland, Accountant, RICHARD CAME-
RON, of Auckland, Banker, and RICHARD KEMM
BABER, of Auckland, Accountant, claiming as
Devisees of the real estate of ROBERT Lusk, late of
Auckland, Merchant, have applied to be registered
as Proprietors of 6 perches of land, situated in the
City of Christchurch, being part of Section No. 99,
comprised in certificate of title, Vol. xxxiii., folio 235;
and that they will be so registered, unless caveat

tion of the loss of certificate of title in favour
of HENRY HINTON, for Allotments 250 and 263
of the Parish of Kirikiriroa, Banks County, the whole

Register-book at Auckland, having been filed in this
office, and application having been made for the issue
of a provisional certificate for same, it is my intention

Mining Notices.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-
RACE.
Waipori, 16th June, 1881.
To the Warden at Lawrence.
I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct a
Water-race to divert and use water for mining
purposes, commencing at a point at the bottom of
Slater's Gully, and about one mile below the Waipori
Township, on the north side of the Waipori River,
and terminating at the Waipori River about half a
mile below the Maiden City Gorge.
The length of such race is about one mile or there-
abouts, and its intended course is east and west; the
mean depth of such race is 2 feet, and the mean
breadth is 3 feet; and it is proposed to divert one
Government-head of water.

Any person objecting to the granting of this appli-
cation must lodge his objection in writing at the
Warden's Office at Lawrence within fourteen clear
days from the date hereof.

22nd July, 1881.
