I, the undersigned, hereby make application to
register the Molyneux Gold-Dredging Company
(Limited) as a Limited Company under the provi-
sions of "The Mining Companies Act, 1872."
- The name of the Company is to be the Molyneux Gold-
Dredging Company (Limited). - The place of intended operations is in the bed of the Moly-
neux River, within the Provincial District of Otago. - The registered office of the Company will be situated at
Liverpool Street, at Dunedin. - The nominal capital of the Company is two thousand five
hundred pounds in fifty shares of fifty pounds each. - The number of shares subscribed for is thirty-eight, being
not less than two-thirds of the entire number of shares in the
Company. - The number of paid-up shares is nil.
- The amount already paid up is three hundred and eighty
pounds. - The name of the Manager is William Charles Kennedy.

NOTICE OF LOCAL BILL.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention
of the Board of Conservators for the North
Rakaia River District during the next session of the
General Assembly to promote the passing of a Bill
extending the operation of "The Canterbury Rivers
Act 1870 Amendment Act, 1880," to the constitution
of the above-mentioned Board, and repealing "The
Canterbury Rivers Act 1870 Amendment Act, 1877,"
as far as relates to such Board.

CANTERBURY RIVERS ACT 1870 AMENDMENT.
AN ACT to extend the Operations of "The Canter-
bury Rivers Act 1870 Amendment Act, 1880."
BE IT ENACTED by the General Assembly of New
Zealand in Parliament assembled, and by the au-
thority of the same, as follows :-
- The Short Title of this Act is "The Canterbury
Rivers Act 1870 Amendment Act, 1881." - The provisions of "The Canterbury Rivers Act
1870 Amendment Act, 1880"(herein called "the said
Acts"), save and except the proviso and second
clause of section three thereof, shall, mutatis mutandis,
hereafter be deemed to extend and to apply to the
constitution of the Board of Conservators for the
North Rakaia District, constituted under "The Can-
terbury Rivers Act, 1870," and the Acts amending
the same: Provided always that, as regards such
Board, the word "five" shall be substituted for the
word "nine" in the second line of the third section
and the first line of the fourth section of the said
Act, and the word "Governor" shall be substituted
for the words "Mayor of the City of Christchurch"
in the eighteenth section of the said Act. - "The Canterbury Rivers Act 1870 Amendment
Act, 1877," is hereby repealed so far as relates to
the Board of Conservators for the North Rakaia
District.
