Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor in
Council, in exercise and in pursuance of the powers
and authorities vested in him by the said Act, and of
all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling
him in that behalf, doth hereby appoint that the days
on which the two equal instalments of those of the
said duties payable by insurance companies shall be
payable shall be the twelfth day of May, one thou-
sand eight hundred and eighty-one, and the fourteenth
day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
one.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-sixth day of April, 1881.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN exercise of the powers vested in him by "The
Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1880," His Excellency the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the said colony, doth hereby constitute all that area
in the Provincial District of Otago, bounded towards
the North by the Tuturau and Kaiwera Rabbit
Districts, towards the East by the Clutha County,
towards the South by the Wyndham Rabbit District,
and towards the West by the Mataura River, a rabbit
district under the said Act; and doth declare that
the name of the said district shall be the Oware
Rabbit District: And, in further exercise of the
said powers, doth hereby appoint
ANDREW MURRAY
to be Returning Officer to conduct the first election
of Trustees for the said district; and doth also appoint
the Wyndham Schoolhouse to be the place, and
Saturday, the twenty-first day of May next, at twelve
noon, to be the time, for holding such first elections.

Australian Plover to be deemed Game.
ARTHUR GORDON, Governor.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by "The
Animals Protection Act, 1880," I, Arthur Hamil-
ton Gordon, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby declare that, from and after the
date hereof, the imported bird known as the Aus-
tralian plover shall come within the operation of
the said Act as fully and effectually as if it had been
included in the Third Schedule thereto.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this twenty-sixth day of April,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
one.

District. And I do hereby notify that cock-pheasants
and Californian quail may be taken or killed within the
said Wellington District from the first day of June,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one, to the
thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-one, both inclusive (subject nevertheless to
the restrictions in the said Act mentioned). And I
do further notify that licenses to take or kill such
game within the said district shall be issued on pay-
ment of the sum of thirty shillings each, and the
licenses to sell such game shall be issued on payment
of the sum of five pounds each; and the Secretary to
the Wellington Acclimatisation Society at Wellington
is hereby appointed to issue the said licenses.

Governor, this twenty-seventh day of
April, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-one.

Fixing Shooting Season, License Fee, &c., for
Waitaki District.
ARTHUR GORDON, Governor.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by "The
Animals Protection Act, 1880," I, Arthur Hamil-
ton Gordon, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby appoint the County of Waitaki
to be a district under the said Act, to be called the
Waitaki District. And I do hereby notify that cock-
pheasants may be taken or killed within the said
Waitaki District from the first day of June, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-one, to the thirty-
first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-one, both inclusive, and that hares may be
taken or killed within the said district from the first
day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
one, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-one, both inclusive (sub-
ject nevertheless to the restrictions in the said Act
mentioned). And I do further notify that licenses
to take or kill such game within the said district shall
be issued on payment of the sum of thirty shillings
each, and that licenses to sell such game shall be
issued on payment of the sum of five pounds each;
and the Secretary to the Waitaki Acclimatisation
Society at Oamaru is hereby appointed to issue the
said licenses.

first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-one, both inclusive (subject nevertheless to
the restrictions in the said Act mentioned). And

game within the said district shall be issued on pay-
ment of the sum of twenty shillings each, and that
licenses to sell such game shall be issued on pay-
