Extending Time for Preparation of County Rolls,
County of Grey.

ARTHUR GORDON, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-sixth day of April, 1881.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that cer-
tain things required to be done by "The
Counties Act, 1876," in connection with the making
and revision of the county roll of the County of
Grey cannot be done by or within the times required
by the said Act:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the power
and authority vested in him by the two hundred and
eleventh section of the said Act, and by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said colony, doth hereby extend the time for the
doing of the said things in connection with the county
roll of the said County of Grey, and doth declare
that the time for the doing of such several things
shall be those which are specified in the Schedule
hereto.

SCHEDULE.

  1. For the preparation of the county roll: On or
    before the 6th May, 1881.
  2. Roll shall be open for inspection: From the
    10th May, 1881, until the 31st May, 1881.
  3. Objections to roll received: Until the 31st
    May, 1881.
  4. Day appointed for revision of roll: Some day
    on and after the 1st June, 1881, but Revision Court
    shall not sit after the 21st June, 1881.
  5. Roll shall come into force: On the 1st July,

Borough of Akaroa.

WHEREAS it has been made to appear that
certain things required to be done by "The
Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," in connection
with the making and revision of the burgess lists or
rolls of the Borough of Akaroa, cannot be done by
or within the time required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the power
and authority vested in him by the twelfth section of
the said Act, and by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth
hereby extend the time for the doing of the said
things in connection with the burgess lists or rolls
of the said Borough of Akaroa, and doth declare
that the times for the doing of such several things
shall be those which are specified in the Schedule
hereto annexed.

SCHEDULE.

  1. For making out the burgess list; On or before
    the 30th April, 1881.

  1. Public notification of the burgess list, and the
    defaulters' list being ready for inspection: On the
    2nd May, 1881.
  2. Burgess and defaulters' list open for inspection,
    and delivery of objections thereto: Until the 12th
    May, 1881.
  3. Inspection of list of objections: From the 13th
    May to the 18th May, 1881.
  4. Sitting of Council to determine claims and
    objections: Between the 19th May and the 23rd
    May, 1881.
  5. Burgess roll to come into force: On the 1st
    June, 1881.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-sixth day of April, 1881.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by "The Property-Tax Act, 1879," it
is provided that the duties therein mentioned
shall be due or payable in two equal instalments on
such days as the Governor in Council may appoint:
