district shall be the Featherston Rabbit District:
And, in further exercise of the said powers, doth
hereby appoint

WILLIAM SKEET
to be Returning Officer to conduct the first election
of Trustees for the said district; and doth also appoint
the Resident Magistrate's Courthouse at Featherston
to be the place, and Monday, the sixteenth day of
May next, at two o'clock p.m., to be the time, for
holding such first elections.

altered.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
nineteenth day of April, 1881.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers vested in
him by "The Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1880," His
Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby
order and declare that the boundaries of the Wallace
Rabbit District shall, from the date hereof, be those
described in the Schedule hereto, instead of those
defined in an Order in Council dated the twenty-
seventh day of January, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Otago, bounded towards the North by the Taringa-
tura and Hokonui Survey Districts; towards the
East by the Waimumu, Lindhurst, and Lothian
Survey Districts; towards the South by the Otera-
mika Hundred; towards the West by Section No. 12,
Block VI., Invercargill Hundred, to the Invercargill
and Dunedin Road; again towards the South by the
said Invercargill and Dunedin Road to the eastern
boundary of Block I., Invercargill Hundred afore-
said; again towards the West by said Block I. to the
Waihopai River; thence by the said Waihopai River
and high-water mark on the western side of the
Waihopai and the New River estuary to the mouth of
the New River; and thence by the sea to the Wai-
matuku Stream; and again towards the West by the
Wallace County to the Taringatura Survey District:
as the same is delineated on the plans deposited in
the Survey Office at Invercargill.

Papakura and Turanga Highway Districts, County
of Manukau, abolished.

ARTHUR GORDON, Governor.
UNDER and in pursuance of the powers and
authorities vested in me by an Act of the
Province of Auckland intituled "The Highways Act,
1874," and by "The Abolition of Provinces Act,
1875," I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that
I do hereby abolish the highway districts constituted
under the said "Highways Act, 1874," and named the
Papakura Highway District and the Turanga High-
way District.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this thirteenth day of April,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
one.

Papakura Highway District, County of Manukau,
constituted.

ARTHUR GORDON, Governor.
UNDER and in pursuance of the powers and
authorities vested in me by an Act of the
Province of Auckland intituled "The Highways Act,
1874," and by "The Abolition of Provinces Act,
1875," I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, hereby notify that I do
hereby create that portion of the Provincial District
of Auckland described in the Schedule hereto a new
highway district, under the said "Highways Act,
1874," by the distinctive name of the Papakura
Highway District, and I declare that the boundaries
of the said district shall be those defined in the
Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Auckland, bounded towards the North by Sections
Nos. 40, 30, 32, 33, 33A, 152, 151, 150, 149, 148,
143, 144, 92, 93, and 94, Parish of Manurewa;
towards the North-west by Section No. 94 aforesaid,
Section Nos. 91 and 153 of aforesaid parish, Sections
Nos. 178, 131, and 132, Parish of Pakuranga, by
Section No. 33, Parish of Maraetai; towards the
South-west by said Section No. 33; towards the
North-east by Sections Nos. 55, 57, and 63 of said
parish; towards the South-east by lines forming the
south-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 68 and 66
of said Parish of Maraetai, and by Sections Nos. 48,
157, 77, 26, 41, and 27, Parish of Wairoa; again
towards the North-east by said Section No. 27, by
Sections Nos. 40 and 39 of said parish; again
towards the South-east by Sections Nos. 61, 56, 55,
30, 35, 34, and 33, Parish of Papakura, and a right
line being the production of the north-eastern boun-
dary of the last-mentioned section to the Great
South Road; and thence towards the South-west by
the said Great South Road to Section No. 40, Parish
of Manurewa aforesaid.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this thirteenth day of April,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
one.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers and
authorities vested in me by an Act of the
Province of Auckland intituled "The Highways Act,
1874," and by "The Abolition of Provinces Act,
1875," I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that I
do hereby bring the said "Highways Act, 1874," into
operation in the Papakura Highway District; and I
further notify that I do hereby appoint the sixth day
of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one,
at two o'clock p.m., at the old Schoolhouse, Papa-
kura Valley, to be the day, hour, and place for the
