THE Akaroa County Council proposes, under the
provisions of "The Public Works Act, 1880,"
to take certain land, hereinafter described, for road
purposes, for a continuation of the Balguerie Road ;
and all persons affected are requested to set forth in
writing any well-grounded objections to the taking
of such land, and to send such writing within forty
days from the date hereof to the Akaroa County
Council. Plan and description are open for inspec-
tion at Mr. James Daly's store, Akaroa.
Description of land proposed to be taken: All
that piece of land situated in the Akaroa and Wainui
Road District, being a strip 1 chain wide, containing
3 acres 3 roods 34 perches, more or less, and forming
part of Rural Section No. 16708, commencing at a
point on the eastern boundary of Sections 4127, 7433,
and 12390, which point is distant about 227 links
from the south-west corner of Section 12580, and
measuring on the centre line of the said strip of land
about 39\u00be chains to a junction with the Government
road running through Section 12580, near the
eastern boundary of same section; as the same is
delineated on the plan and coloured pink.
