Appointment of Chief Surveyor to the West Coast
Royal Commission.

has been appointed Chief Surveyor to the Commission
appointed by His Excellency the Governor to give
effect to "The West Coast Settlement (North Island)
Act, 1880," to date from the 1st February, 1881.

tration of Electors Act, 1879," I hereby make

the following alteration in the offices at which the
electoral rolls of the under-mentioned electoral
district shall be open for inspection :--

Wairarapa Electoral District--
The Police Station, Greytown, to be abolished, and
The Post Office, Greytown, to be appointed in
lieu thereof.

Application for Registration of a Trade Mark.

NOTICE is hereby given that JAMES KNOX
NEWTON, of 5, King Street West, Sydney,
in the Colony of New South Wales, has applied to
register, under "The Trade Marks Act, 1866," the
trade mark of which the following is a description,
viz. :--

Description of Trade Mark.
The figure of a man sliding down a board, holding
in his right hand a brush and in his left a can, with
the words "Trade Mark" above; also, above and
nearly surrounding, the words "Albany Lubricating
Compound," and the letters O. E. Z. R. I. C. on one
side, surrounded by a circle.

Nature of the Article to which it is intended such
Trade Mark shall apply.

A compound called the Albany Lubricating Com-
pound.

amalgamate the Kent Road Rifle Volunteers
and the Mangorei Rifle Volunteers into one corps,
under the title of

The Kent Road Mangorei Rifle Volunteers.

Volunteer Corps disbanded.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to
disband
The Tikorangi Rifle Volunteers
at their own request.
The under-mentioned gentlemen therefore cease to
be officers in the Volunteer Force, their commis-
sions having lapsed under "The Volunteer Act,
1865:"--
