links: be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or
less. For a ferry and bridge reserve.
All that parcel of land near 37th mile-post,
Christchurch Road, containing 40 acres 1 rood
25 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 212
(in red), Block VI., on the map of the Otira Survey
District. Bounded towards the North by the Christ-
church Road, 2866 links; towards the East by Section
No. 2007, 1136 links; towards the South by Crown
lands, and by a line across Christchurch Road devia-
tion, 2751 links; and towards the West by Crown
lands, and by a line across said Christchurch Road
deviation, 1690 links: be all the aforesaid linkages a
little more or less. For a reserve for timber pur-
poses.
All that parcel of land near 42nd mile-post,
Christchurch Road, containing 40 acres and 3
perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 213 (in
red), Block VII., on the map of the Otira Survey
District. Bounded towards the West by the Christ-
church Road, 2912 links; towards the North by
Crown lands, 1511 links; towards the East by Crown
lands, 2640 links; and towards the South by Crown
lands, 1990 links: be all the aforesaid linkages a
little more or less. For a reserve for timber pur-
poses.
All that parcel of land containing 2 acres, more or
less, being Reserve No. 189 (in red), Block I., on
the map of the Kanieri Survey District. Bounded
towards the North-west by Camp Street, 400 links;
towards the South-west by a road, 500 links;
towards the South-east by St. Albans Street, 400
links; and towards the North-east by a straight line
parallel with south-west boundary, 500 links: be all
the aforesaid linkages a little more or less. For a
reserve for state-school purposes.
All that parcel of land containing 175 acres, more
or less, being Reserve No. 230 (in red), Block I., on
the map of the Waiho Survey District. Bounded
towards the North by Reserve No. 61 (in red), and
by road along the Waiho River; towards the East
by a line due north and south; towards the South by
a line due east and west; and towards the West by
the road along the sea-coast. For a reserve for ferry
purposes.
All that parcel of land containing 175 acres, more
or less, being Reserve No. 232 (in red), Block IV.,
on the map of the Bruce Bay Survey District.
Bounded towards the North by the road along the
O-te-au-tumua Lagoon and the Karangarua River;
towards the South-east by a line bearing due south-
west, 4000 links; and towards the South-west by a
straight line bearing due north-west. For a reserve
for ferry purposes.
All that parcel of land containing 250 acres, more
or less, being Reserve No. 233 (in red), Block XIII.,
on the map of the Gillespies Survey District.
Bounded towards the West by Native Reserve No. 14
(in red), and by the road along the Weheka Lagoon;
towards the North by a line running due east;
towards the East by a line running due south; and
towards the South by the road along the Weheka
River. For a reserve for ferry purposes.
All that parcel of land containing 105 acres, more
or less, being Reserve No. 236 (in red), Block VII,
on the map of the Arawata Survey District. Bounded
towards the North by the Main South Road, 4720
links; towards the East by Crown lands, 2376 links;
towards the South by Crown lands, 4440 links; and
towards the West by road along River Arawata, com-
prising Sections 108 and 109. For a reserve for
ferry purposes.
All that parcel of land containing 50 acres, more
or less, being Reserve No. 235 (in red) on the map
of the Clarke Survey District. Bounded towards
the North by the Mahitahi to Haast Road; towards
the East by the said Mahitahi to Haast Road, and by
road along the Moeraki River; towards the South by
Pepene's Creek; and towards the West by a line
bearing due north. For a reserve for ferry purposes.
All that parcel of land containing 250 acres, more
or less, being Reserve No. 231 (in red), Block II., on
the map of the Mount Douglas Survey District.
Bounded towards the North by the north boundary
of said district; on the East by road along the Mahi-
tahi River; on the South by the Mahitahi to Haast
River Road; and on the West by line bearing due
north and south. For a reserve for ferry purposes.
All that parcel of land containing 200 acres, more
or less, being Reserve No. 229 (in red), Block XV.,
on the map of the Wataroa Survey District. Bounded
towards the West by the Okarito Road, and by road
along the Wataroa River; towards the South by
boundary of Wataroa Survey District; towards the
East by a line at right angles with last-mentioned
boundary; and towards the North by a line parallel
with south boundary. For a reserve for ferry pur-
poses.
All that parcel of land containing 100 acres, more
or less, being Reserve No. 228 (in red), Block IV.,
on the map of the Wataroa Survey District. Bounded
towards the South by the Okarito Road; towards the
East by road along the Poerua River; towards the
North by a line 4000 links distant from and parallel
with Okarito Road; and towards the West by a line
at a right angle with last-mentioned boundary. For
a reserve for ferry purposes.
All that parcel of land containing 200 acres, more
or less, being Reserve No. 227 (in red), Block VII.,
on the map of the Mount Bonar Survey District.
Bounded towards the East by the Okarito Road;
towards the South by the said road; towards the
West by road along the Wanganui River; and
towards the North by a line bearing due east and
west. For a reserve for ferry purposes.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this tenth day of March, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-one.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth
section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted
that the Governor may from time to time, either by
general or particular description, and whether the
same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale
temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be
then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands
which, in his opinion, are required for any of the
purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise
and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested
in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve
from sale the land in the Land Districts of Auck-
land and Otago described in the Schedule here-
under written, for the purpose in the said Schedule
specified.
