HANGAROA MATAWAI No. 1.
All that parcel of land in the District of Poverty
Bay, in the Provincial District of Auckland, known
by the name of Hangaroa Matawai No.1, contain-
ing by admeasurement 3,269 acres, more or less.
Bounded towards the North by the Okahuatiu No. 2
Block, 55316 links; towards the East by a Native
reserve (Hangaroa Matawai No. 2), 18000 links;
towards the South by the Hangaroa River to the
Papokeka Stream; towards the West by the Papo-
keka Stream and Hangaroa Matawai Block, 3800
links, to the point of commencement.

WHAKAONGAONGA.
All that parcel of land in the District of Poverty
Bay, in the Provincial District of Auckland, known
by the name of Whakaongaonga, containing by ad-
measurement 12,418 acres, more or less. Bounded
towards the North by Crown lands 41675 links, and
the Waimata Native Reserve Block 15184 links;
towards the East by the Tarewauru Block, 30228 links;
towards the South by the Whakaongaonga No. 1 Block,
13645 links, and the boundaries of Whakaongaonga
No. 3 Block; towards the South-west by the Waihau
Block, 6246 links, 9309 links, and 700 links, to the
Kaikoura Stream; thence by the Kaikoura Stream
to the Hangaroa River; towards the West by the
Hangaroa River and eastern boundary of the Whaka-
ongaonga No. 4 Block to Pahiatua, the point of
commencement.

TAUWHARETOI.
All that parcel of land in the District of Poverty
Bay, in the Provincial District of Auckland, known
by the name of Tauwharetoi, containing by ad-
measurement 50,389 acres, more or less. Bounded
towards the North by the Hangaroa River; towards
the East by the Hangaroa River and the northern
and western boundaries of the Tauwharetoi No. 1
Block; thence by the aforesaid river to the northern
boundary of the Tauwharetoi No. 3 Block; towards
the South by the northern boundary of the Tauwhare-
toi No. 3 Block; towards the West by the Ruakituri
River to Trig. Station 219; thence by the Tuahu
Block, 37586 links, 9448 links, and 2750 links; thence
by the Kawaimango Stream to the point of com-
mencement on the Hangaroa River.

TUAHU.
All that parcel of land in the District of Poverty
Bay, in the Provincial District of Auckland, known
by the name of Tuahu, containing by admeasurement
9,250 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the
North by the Makomuka Stream; thence by lines,
918 links, 403 links, 1280 links, 300 links, 1050 links,
642 links, 340 links, 720 links, 636 links, 234 links,
640 links, 448 links, 280 links, 1600 links, 850 links,
250 links; thence by the Mangatahae Stream and
lines, 1290 links and 1951 links; towards the East
by the Tauwharetoi Block, 9448 links and 26261
links, to the boundary of the Tuahu No. 3 Block;
towards the South by the Tuahu No. 3 Block 5023
links, the Tuahu No. 2 Block 3300 links, and the
Tuahu No. 1 Block 5910 links and 8260 links, to the
Ruakituri River; thence on the West by the Ruaki-
turi River to the Makikomuka Stream, the point of
commencement.

WAIHAU.
All that parcel of land at Waihau, in the District
of Poverty Bay, in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, known by the name of Waihau, containing by
admeasurement 13,800 acres, more or less. Bounded
towards the North by the Hangaroa River; towards
the East by the Kaikoura Stream and the Whaka-
ongaonga Block, 16256 links and 4417 links; towards
the South by a line, 3397 links, and by the Manga-o-
tara Stream to its junction with the Hangaroa River
aforesaid; and on the West by the said Hangaroa
River: excepting out of the hereinbefore-described
area a reserve of 1,000 acres, to be granted to Petera
Honotapu and Pera Tamahikawai.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Honorable Arthur Hamilton Gordon,
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Dis-
tinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Her Majesty's High
Commissioner for the Western Pacific,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at Napier,
this twenty-ninth day of January, in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hun-
dred and eighty-one.

Amending Crossing-places under "The Sheep Act,
1878.”—Notice No. 86.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in pursuance of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the forty-fourth
section of "The Sheep Act, 1878," and of all other
powers and authorities enabling me in that behalf,
I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and
order that the Proclamation dated the twenty-fifth
day of September, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-nine, and all other Proclamations issued
under the before-mentioned section, are hereby
rescinded.

And I do further proclaim and declare that the
places mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be
places at which all sheep to be introduced by land
into the several sheep districts in the Schedule hereto
respectively mentioned shall be crossed over the
boundaries of such districts.

SCHEDULE.
NAPIER, AUCKLAND, AND WELLINGTON SHEEP
DISTRICTS.

On the boundary between the Wellington and
Napier Sheep Districts where the coast-line crosses
the Waimata Stream..

In the Township of Woodville, Provincial District
of Hawke's Bay, at the junction of the main road
from Masterton with the main road from the Mana-
watu Gorge to Napier.

At Te Reinga, on the boundary between the
Napier and the Auckland Sheep Districts.
Where the main road from Napier to Taupo
crosses the boundary of the Napier and the Auckland
Sheep Districts.

WAIAU SHEEP DISTRICT.
The ferry on the Waiau-ua River, known as
Arthur's or Upper Waiau Ferry.
The ford or bridge on the Waiau-ua River, oppo-
site the homestead of Leslie Hill's Run.

CANTERBURY SHEEP DISTRICT.
The ford on the Waiau-ua River, about opposite
the Township of Waiau.
