NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-
RACE.

Longwood District, 8th November, 1881.
To the Warden at Riverton.

I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct
a Water-race to divert and use water for mining
purposes, commencing at a point in Fall's Creek,
above Fryett's Track, and terminating at upper end
of water-race now existing in Sloan's Gully, Long-
wood.

The length of such race is two mile or thereabouts,
and its intended course is north and south or there-
abouts for the whole distance. The mean depth of
such race is 1 foot 6 inches, and the mean breadth is
2 feet, and it is proposed to divert nine Government-
heads of waterβ€”four heads from Fall's Creek, one
head from Bismarck Creek, four heads from
Gorge Creek.

cation must lodge his objection in writing at the
Warden's Office at Riverton within fourteen clear
days from the date hereof.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-

District of Orepuki, 8th November, 1881.
To the Warden at Riverton.

I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct a
Water-race to divert and use water for mining
purposes, commencing at a point in Sea Beach, at
Wakapatu, and terminating at Round Hill.

The length of such race is four miles and sixty-
three chains or thereabouts, and its intended course
is about due north and south; its proper name is the
Orawera Sludge Channel. It is intended to divert
sludge and tailings from the workings at Round Hill.
And I hereby apply for all tail-water from top of said
channel down to sea-beach at Wakapatu, as I applied
for it before. The mean depth of such race is from
8 to 14 feet, and the mean breadth is 16 feet, and it
is proposed to divert thirty Government-heads of
water.

MINING LEASE APPLICATION WITHDRAWN.

NOTICE is hereby given that the application of
WALTER INDER and others for a gold-mining
lease of 16 acres of land, situate at Bone's Creek,
Serpentine, lodged at the Warden's Office, Naseby,
on the 25th February, 1877, has been withdrawn, and
that the ground referred to in such application is

open to persons holding miners' rights or business
licenses, or to applicants for a lease, as if no lease of
the said ground had ever been applied for.

NOTICE is hereby given that the application of
WILLIAM GUFFIE and others for a gold-mining
lease of 10 acres of land adjoining the south-east
boundary of Withers's Lease, Rough Ridge, lodged
at the Warden's Office, Naseby, on the 5th May,
1880, has been withdrawn, and that the ground
referred to in such application is open to persons
holding miners' rights or business licenses, or to
applicants for a lease, as if no lease of the said
ground had ever been applied for.

    Mining Company (Limited).

  3. The registered office of the Company will be situated at
    Auckland.
  4. The nominal capital of the Company is nine thousand
    pounds, in eighteen thousand shares of ten shillings each.
