Mining Notices.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-
RACE.

Mount Ida, 29th October, 1881.

To the Mining Registrar at Naseby, in the Mount
Ida District, and to all other persons whom it may
concern.

I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct
a Water-race to divert and use water for irriga-
tion purposes, commencing at a point in the Linn-
burn, about half a mile above Linnburn Station, and
terminating at Home Station.

The length of such race is half a mile or there-
abouts, and its intended course is south to north.
The mean depth of such race is 2 feet, and the mean
breadth is 1 foot, and it is proposed to divert two
Government-heads of water.

Any person objecting to the granting of this appli-
cation must lodge his objection in writing at the
Warden's Office at Naseby, on or before the 2nd day
of December, 1881.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-
RACE.

Waimea, 27th October, 1881.

To the Warden at Goldsborough.

W E hereby give notice that we intend to construct
a Water-race to divert and use water for mining
purposes, commencing at a point marked H in Kapetia
Creek, about one and a quarter miles above Green-
stone Road, south side of said road, taking water
from Kapetia Creek; also taking in one head of
water from the following creeks on its course, viz.,
Akaroa, Duffers, and Greeks No. 1, and termina-
ting at their dam, No. 5054, on Fitzhenry's Terrace,
Middle Branch of Waimea Creek.

The length of such race is three miles and a half
or thereabouts, and its intended course is south-
east and north-west. The mean depth of such race
is 3 feet 6 inches, and the mean breadth is 4 feet 6
inches, and it is proposed to divert ten Government-
heads of water.
