WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth
section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted
that the Governor may from time to time, either by
general or particular description, and whether the
same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale
temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be
then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands
which, in his opinion, are required for any of the pur-
poses in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Ad-
ministrator of the Government of the Colony of
New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the
powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act,
do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in
the Provincial Districts of Auckland, Hawke's Bay,
Canterbury, and Otago, described in the Schedule
hereunder written, for the purposes in the said
Schedule specified.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND.

ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 1 rood, more or less, and being Section
12 of Block VIII., Uawa Township, Uawa Survey
District, Provincial District of Auckland. Bounded
towards the North by Section 10, 100 links; thence
towards the East by Section 13, 250 links; thence
towards the South by Monkhouse Street, 100 links;
thence towards the West by Section 11 to a point of
commencement, 250 links: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less. As a site for a mechanics'
institute.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by
admeasurement 9 acres 2 roods 39 perches, more
or less, being Section 8, Block II., Township of

Uawa, Uawa Survey District, Provincial District of
Auckland. Bounded towards the North by Forster
Street, 850 links; towards the East by Lots 1, 2,
3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, 1400 links; towards the South by
Banks Street, 543 links; and towards the West
by Mangarara No. 2 Block, 1433 links: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less. For police purposes.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 2 roods, more or less, being Sections
14 and 15, Block XIII., Township of Uawa,
Uawa Survey District, Provincial District of Auck-
land. Bounded towards the North by Lot 16,
200 links; towards the East by Endeavour Street,
250 links; towards the South by Monkhouse Street,
200 links; and towards the West by Lot 13, 250
links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
For police purposes.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section
13, Block XIII., Township of Uawa, Uawa Survey
District. Tolago Bay, Provincial District of Auck-
land. Bounded towards the North by Lots
10 and 16, 100 links; thence Easterly by Lot
14, 250 links; thence Southerly by Monkhouse
Street, 100 links; thence Westerly by Lot 12, 250
links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
As a site for a courthouse.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial
District of Auckland, being Lots 59, 60, 61, and 62
of the Town of Richmond, Parish of Matata, Awa-o-
te-Atua Survey District, containing by admeasure-
ment 1 acre, more or less. Bounded towards the
North-east by Lots 58, 57, 56, and 55, 400 links;
towards the South-east by Lot 63, 250 links; towards
the South-west by Wilson Street, 400 links; and
towards the North-west by Mair Street, 250 links:
be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As a site
for a school.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 41 acres 2 roods, more or less, being
Lot 576 of the Town of Cambridge East, Parish
