and to the Boroughs of Gladstone and North Inver-
cargill: And whereas it is expedient to rescind such
Proclamation, and to make other provision in lieu
thereof:
Section No. 59 of said Block VII. to Main North
Road; thence across and by that road to Section
No. 19, Block VII., aforesaid; thence by that section
and by Section No. 4, Block XII., North Harbour
and Blueskin Survey District; and thence by a right
line to Trig. Station S, Swampy Hill; thence towards
the West by a right line to Silver Peak; thence along
the summit of the Silver Peak Range to Trig. Station
R, Waikouaiti Survey District; thence towards the
North to and by the nearest branch of the Mount
Misery Creek to its confluence; thence by that creek
to its confluence with the south branch of the Wai-
kouaiti River; thence by that river to a point in line
with the northern boundary of Section No. 9, Block
VIII., Waikouaiti Survey District; thence to and
by said Section No. 9, and by the Mountain Road,
which forms the southern boundary of Sections Nos.
6, 3, and 2, Block VIII., and Section No. 84, Block
II., Waikouaiti Survey District; thence by a road
which forms the south-western boundary of Sections
Nos. 56, 57, and 32 to Main North Road; thence
across and by the Main North Road to Section No.
5; thence by that section and by Section No. 4 to a
road which forms part of the southern boundary of
said section 4, Block II.; thence by that road, which
forms the southern boundary of Sections Nos. 9 and
48, Block III., Waikouaiti Survey District, and the
western boundary of Sections Nos. 57 and 58, and the
southern boundary of Sections Nos. 59 and 60, Block
III., Waikouaiti Survey District, to the road which
forms the south-western boundary of the Native Re-
serve; thence by that road to Brinn's Point, the
starting point.
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Ad-
ministrator of the Government of the Colony of
New Zealand, by virtue and in exercise of the powers
vested in the Governor by the fourth section of
"The Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance,
1865," and "The Abolition of Provinces Act, 1875,"
and all other powers and authorities enabling me in
that behalf, do hereby allocate the proportions of the
said sum of one thousand five hundred and fifty
pounds, borrowed on the security of the rates of the
said Invercargill Road District, to be borne by the
said district and the Municipal Corporations or
boroughs named in the Schedule hereto; and do
proclaim and declare that such proportions shall be
those set opposite the names of the said Corporations
or boroughs and the name of the said district in the
said Schedule.

PORT CHALMERS DISTRICT.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Otago, bounded towards the North by the sea
from the road which forms the eastern boundary of
Block I., North Harbour and Blueskin Survey Dis-
trict, to the Otago Heads; towards the South-east
and South by the Otago Harbour to Section No. 1,
Upper Harbour West Survey District; thence by
Section No. 1 aforesaid, and by Sections Nos. 1, 2,
3, and 1 of 35, Block IX., North Harbour and Blue-
skin Survey District, by Sections Nos. 86 and 87,
North-East Valley Survey District; thence towards
the West by Sections Nos. 41 and 40, Block VII.,
North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District, to the
Main North Road; thence across and by that road
to Section No. 58, Block VII., aforesaid; and thence
by the Blueskin Registration District, hereinbefore
described, to the sea at the entrance of Blueskin Bay:
including the adjacent islands.

Prendergast, Esquire, Chief Justice, the
Administrator of the Government of Her
Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its
Dependencies; and issued under the Seal
of the said Colony, at the Government
House, at Wellington, this eleventh day
of September, in the year of our Lord

A PROCLAMATION.
N pursuance and exercise of the power and au-
thority vested in the Governor by "The Marriage
Act, 1880," I, James Prendergast, Chief Justice, the
Administrator of the Government of the Colony of
New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing marriage
districts known as the Dunedin, Port Chalmers,
Waikouaiti, North Taieri, and East Taieri Districts,
and do proclaim and declare that the territory here-
tofore comprised within the said districts is hereby
divided anew into six marriage districts, the names
and boundaries whereof shall be as follow:β
BLUESKIN DISTRICT.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Otago, bounded towards the East by the sea and
Blueskin Bay from Brinn's Point to the road forming
the western boundary of Block IV., North Harbour
and Blueskin Survey District; thence by that boun-
dary, and by Sections Nos. 1, 2, 3, 94, 4, 6, and 5, Block
VI., North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District,
and Section No. 76, Block VII., North Harbour and
Blueskin Survey District; towards the South by
DUNEDIN DISTRICT.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District
of Otago, bounded towards the North and East by
the Blueskin and Port Chalmers Registration Dis-
tricts, hereinbefore described, from Trig. Station S,
Swampy Hill, to the Otago Harbour; towards the
South and again towards the North by the Otago
Harbour; again towards the East and South by the
sea to the mouth of the Kaikorai Creek; towards the
West by that creek and Abbott's Creek to the road
which forms the eastern boundary of Section No. 58,
Block VII., Dunedin and East Taieri Survey Dis-
trict; thence by the road which forms the boundary
of said section, and Sections Nos. 2 of 2, 1 of 2, 3, 4,
and 5, block aforesaid, Sections Nos. 15, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10,
11, 12, and 13, and its continuation through Sections
Nos. 50 and 13, Block VI., Dunedin and East Taieri
Survey District, to the Dunedin and North Taieri
Road; thence by that road to the road which forms
the eastern boundary of Section No. 8, Block IV.,
Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District; thence by
the road which forms the boundary of said Section
