And whereas, by warrants under the hand of the
Governor, certain places were appointed polling-
places for the election of members of the House of
Representatives for the Electoral District of Wakaia,
one of which places was appointed a principal polling-
place for the said district:
And whereas it is expedient to abolish the same:
Now know ye that I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, the Governor of New Zealand, in pur-
suance of the power and authority in me vested by
the said Act, do hereby abolish all the polling-places
for the election of members of the House of Repre-
sentatives for the Electoral District of Wakaia, and
do also hereby abolish the above-mentioned principal
polling-place for the said district.
And I do hereby appoint the following places to be
polling-places for the said electoral district for the
election of members of the House of Representatives,
namely:---
The Courthouse, Switzer's.
Mr. Frank Smith's House, Waikaka.
The Schoolhouse, Nokomai.
The Courthouse, Roxburgh West.
The Courthouse, Tapanui.
The Schoolhouse, Moa Flat.
Mr. James Forbes's House, Potter's Gully.
Mr. Stevenson's Store, Horse-shoe Bend.
The Schoolhouse, Wakaia Flat.
McKay's Hall, East Gore.
The Schoolhouse, Knapdale.
The Schoolhouse, Crookston.
The Schoolhouse, South Glenkenich.
The Schoolhouse, Dunrobin.
The Schoolhouse, Waipahi.
And I do further appoint the polling-place herein-
after specified to be the principal polling-place for
such district, namely:---
The Courthouse, Switzer's.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this first day of September,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty.

to be Members of the Board of Governors of the
Southland Boys' and Girls' High Schools, vice H.
Jaggers, Esq. and J. P. Joyce, Esq., whose period of
