and regulations were duly passed at a meeting held
in the cemetery cottage on Friday, the 23rd day of

Application for Registration of a Trade Mark.

NOTICE is hereby given that Messrs. HATTON,
KING, AND COMPANY, of Dunedin, in the Colony
of New Zealand, have applied to register, under "The
Trade Marks Act, 1866," the trade mark of which the
following is a description, viz.:—

Description of Trade Mark.

A rampant lion in an oval-shaped ground looking
towards the left, with a box to the right of him and
one to the left, with a monogram composed of the
letters H., K., & Co., intertwined, printed on the
end of each of the boxes, with a number of boxes
arranged in the back ground. The lion has one of
his hind paws resting on the box on the left side.
On the left of the lion is printed the word "Trade,"
and on the right is printed the word "Mark." Un-
derneath the lion is printed the name of "Hatton,
King, and Co.", in large letters, and under that a
monogram composed of the letters H., K., & Co.,
intertwined. The words "Caledonian Confectionery
Works, Dunedin," are printed in large letters round
the oval.

Nature of the Article to which it is intended such
Trade Mark shall apply.
