gill shall be a borough constituted under the said
"Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," and shall be
called the Borough of North Invercargill; and that
the boundaries of such borough shall be those speci-
fied in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Provincial District of Otago,
bounded towards the North by a road-line and
Sections Nos. 36, 37, and 38 of Block I., Invercar-
gill Hundred; towards the East by a road-line and
Sections Nos. 35 and 34; again towards the North
by said Section No. 34; towards the North-east by
Section No. 6; towards the South-east by Sections
Nos. 5, 4, and 3, all of the said Block I., and the
Borough of East Invercargill; and towards the West
by the Park Reserve, being Section No. 22 of Block
I., and Section No. 26 of same block: as the same is
delineated on the plan deposited in the District
Survey Office, Invercargill.

Given under the hand of His Excellency
Sir Hercules George Robert Robinson,
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distin-
guished Order of Saint Michael and Saint
George, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued
under the Seal of the said Colony, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-seventh day of July, in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred

Land taken for Road in Reserve No. 1202, and Rural
Section 3753, Timaru District, Canterbury.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken under "The
Public Works Act, 1876," and "The Public Works
Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878," for a certain work,
to wit, the construction of a road in Reserve number
one thousand two hundred and and Rural
Section three thousand seven hundred and fifty-
three, Timaru District, Canterbury:

And whereas the Levels Road Board has laid
before the Governor the memorial and map mentioned
in and signed and certified as required by the said
Acts:

Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, in exercise and pursuance
of the powers and authorities in me vested by sections
twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-four,
and twenty-five of "The Public Works Act, 1876,"
and by section twenty-eight of "The Public Works
Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878," and of any other
power and authority enabling me in that behalf, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the land described
in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the pur-
poses of a road; and that, from and after the twenty-
ninth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty, the land so described shall become absolutely
vested in fee-simple in Her Majesty, discharged
from all mortgages, charges, claims, estates, and
interests of what kind soever, for use as a road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece of land being part of Reserve No. 1202,
containing 3 acres 1 rood 21 perches, more or less,

[No. 74

commencing at the south-west corner of said Reserve
1202, on the road separating Reserves 1201 and
1202, and running in a south-easterly direction 1
chain in width along the north-eastern boundary of
Rural Section 15481, 3405 links, to the boundary of
Rural Section 3753.

Also all that piece of land being part of Rural
Section 3753, containing 1 acre and 36 perches, more
or less, commencing at a point on the north-western
boundary of Rural Section 3753 distant 1 chain
from the north-eastern corner of Rural Section
15481, and running in a south-westerly direction along
the north-western boundary of the said Section 3753,
1 chain in width, to meet a road running from the
Main South Road through a portion of Rural Section
3753, 1120 links; be the aforesaid linkages more or
less; and the same being more particularly delineated
upon the map attached to the memorial above re-
ferred to.

mentioned in and signed and certified as required by
the said Acts:
