Majesty's Customs to superintend the survey and
admeasurement of Ships, under the provisions of
"The Merchant Shipping Act, 1854:"-

Arthur Gethin Creagh to be Lieutenant. Date of

elected (Nelson).

IN conformity with "The (Nelson) Highways Act,
1872," it is hereby notified that the following
persons have been elected Members of the Motueka
Highway Board for the subdistricts placed opposite
to their respective names:-
FREDERICK EDWARD BISLEY ... Motueka.
DIEDERICH BEUKE ... Upper Moutere.
THOMAS HEATH ... Ngatimoti.
ALEXANDER DRUMMOND ... Riwaka.
And that, on the 5th instant,
WILLIAM PAGE,
ANDREW MCDONALD, and
FRANCIS HENRY MONTAGUE ELLIS
were duly elected Members of the Takaka Road
Board.

Notice of Intention to constitute a new Road District,
to be called the Tinwald-Winslow Road District.

Colonial Secretary's Office,
Wellington, 7th July, 1880.
HIS Excellency the Governor directs it to be
notified, in pursuance of the provisions of
"The Canterbury Roads Ordinance Amendment Act,
1877," that he has received a petition praying that
the portion of the Longbeach Road District, as de-
scribed in the Schedule hereunder, may be severed
from the aforesaid district, and constituted a new
district, to be called the Tinwald-Winslow District.

SCHEDULE.
BOUNDED on the North-west by the Great Southern
Railway; on the South-west by the River Hinds; on
the North-east by the River Ashburton; and on the
South-east by the main road, running from the River
Hinds, starting from the southernmost corner of
Rural Section No. 11089; then north-easterly along
the main road forming the south-eastern boundaries
of Sections Nos. 11089, 17425, 17424, 15788, 16741,
16746, 16743, 16744, 16786, 16684, 16740, 16869,
16739, 16396, 15727, 6430, 17400, 17399, Reserve
No. 1427, Rural Sections 6451, 15363, 15694,
Reserves 930 and 931, Rural Sections 7822, 7825,
and 6429, to the River Ashburton.
