of the power and authority vested in me in that
behalf, do hereby fix and determine that the ordinary
meetings of the Land Board of the Land District of
Hawke's Bay shall be held on the first Friday in each
month, at eleven o'clock a.m., commencing on Friday,
the sixth day of August, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty, instead of every alternate Thursday, as
heretofore appointed.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this sixteenth day of July, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty.

Land temporarily reserved in the Provincial District
of Otago.

HERCULES ROBINSON, Governor.
WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth
section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted
that the Governor may from time to time, either by
general or particular description, and whether the
same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale
temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be
then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands
which, in his opinion, are required for any of the pur-
poses in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of New Zea-
land, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby
temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Provin-
cial District of Otago described in the Schedule here-
under written, for the purposes in the said Schedule
specified.

SCHEDULE.
OTAGO.

ALL that area in the Provincial District of Otago,
containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less,
situate in the Lauder District, being Section No. 3,
Block VI., on the map of the said district. Bounded
towards the North-west by Crown lands, 622.5 links;
towards the North-east by a road-line and Crown
lands, 1606.4 links; towards the South-east by Crown
lands, 622.5 links; and towards the South-east
by Crown lands, 1606.4 links; the most northerly
corner of said section being distant 2844.5 links east,
bearing 87° 53′ from most southerly corner of Pre-
emptive Right A, Run No. 223: as the same is
delineated on the official plan in the Survey Office,
Dunedin. As a site for a school.

All that area in the Provincial District of Otago,
containing by admeasurement 6 acres 2 rood 27
perches, more or less, situate in the Rock and Pillar
District, being part of original Section 7, now called
Section 8, on the map of the said block. Bounded as
follows: Commencing at a point on the northern
boundary of said Section 7 opposite road-peg No.
22, bearing 173° 42', distant 100 links; thence due
south, 955.9 links; thence due west, 734.6 links;
thence due north, 859.6 links; thence in an easterly
direction, bearing 82° 28′, 741 links: and bounded
towards the East, South, and West by other part of
Section 7; and towards the North by a road-line: as
the same is delineated on the official plan in the
Survey Office, Dunedin. For a quarry.

All that area in the Provincial District of Otago,
containing by admeasurement 18 acres and 36
perches, more or less, situate in the Town of Clinton,
being Section No. 1, Block XXVI., on the map of
the said town. Bounded towards the North-east
by railway reserve, 3380 links; towards the South
and South-east by road reserve along banks of
Kuriwao Stream, 2375 links; and towards the South-
east by a road-line, 1546.7 links: as the same is
delineated on the official plan in the Survey Office,
Dunedin. For a recreation-ground.

SOUTHLAND.

All that piece or parcel of land containing 10
acres and 24 perches, more or less, being Section 282,
Forest Hill District. Bounded towards the North-east
by Crown lands, 1000 links; towards the South-east
by Crown lands, 1015 links; towards the South-west
by Crown lands, 1000 links; and towards the North-
west by Crown lands, 1015 links: 'as the same is de-
lineated on the official plan in the Survey Office,
Invercargill. As a site for a school.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this fourteenth day of July,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted that
the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the
same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then
held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which, in his opinion, are required for any of the purposes in
the said section mentioned:

And whereas by the one hundred and forty-fifth section of the said Act it is provided that land tempo-
rarily reserved under the said one hundred and forty-fourth section may, at the expiration of one month
but not later than six months after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary reservation,
be permanently reserved, and that notice of such permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette:

And whereas the lands specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto were, by the several
warrants the dates of which are specified in the third column of the said Schedule, and the notifications of
which were published in the Gazettes specified in the fourth column, temporarily reserved under the
authority of the said Act for the purposes specified in the second column of the said Schedule:

Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, do hereby permanently
reserve the lands so temporarily reserved as aforesaid, and enumerated in the first column of the Schedule
hereto, for the purposes specified in the second column of the said Schedule, being the same purposes for
which the said lands were so temporarily reserved as aforesaid.
