Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regulations
made under that Act for the granting of leases for
gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is
intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for gold-
mining purposes to the applicant specified in the
annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objec-
tions against such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating
the grounds of objection, must be made in writing,
and lodged with the Warden at Dunedin on or
before the 3rd day of March, 1880.

Copy of the application made and plan annexed
may be seen at the Warden's Office at Dunedin.

SCHEDULE.

APPLICANT: William Kenney. Style under which
it is intended to conduct the business: "Lone
Hand." 7 acres, in the Hindon Mining District,
adjoining Section 8, Block IV., Mount Hyde.

Gold-Mining Lease cancelled.

IN pursuance of "The Gold Fields Act, 1866," and
regulations thereunder for the granting and
issue of gold-mining leases, it is hereby notified that
the lease No. 323c, of Section 19, Block XII.,
Skipper's Creek, issued to Edmund Fitzgibbon, has,
with the approval of the Land Board of the Otago
Land District, been declared cancelled; and that the
land is now open for occupation by holders of miners'
rights or business licenses, as if no lease of the same
had been granted.

Given under my hand at Duredin, this four-
teenth day of January, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty.

HENRY HAYNES, of Kiwitea, Farmer, claiming
as Heir-at-law of WILLIAM HAYNES, of Kiwitea
aforesaid, Farmer, deceased, having applied to be
registered as Proprietor in fee-simple, free from
incumbrances, of Sections 697 and 698, Town of
Feilding, notice is hereby given that the Applicant
will be registered as above, unless caveat forbidding
the same be lodged at this office on or before the
28th February, 1880.
