Section No. 1357 aforesaid, 71, 88, 196, 207,
110, 85, 94, 105, and 86 links respectively; South-
easterly and Easterly by lines, 197 and 484 links
respectively; generally Northerly by lines and other
portions of section aforesaid to commencing point,
256 and 642 links respectively.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by
admeasurement 10 perches, more or less, commencing
at a point on the western boundary of Section No.
1357, distant 2144 links from the north-west corner
of said section. Bounded—Westerly by the western
boundary of said section, 283 links; Easterly by
lines and other portions of section aforesaid to com-
mencing point, 168 and 129 links respectively.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by
admeasurement 1 perch, more or less, commencing at
a point on the western boundary of Section No. 1357,
distant 2596 links from the north-west corner.
Bounded—Westerly by the western boundary of said
section, 116 links; Easterly by lines and other por-
tions of section aforesaid to commencing point, 63
and 56 links respectively.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by
admeasurement 8 perches, more or less, commencing
at a point on the western boundary of Section No.
1357, distant 2996 links from the north-west corner.
Bounded—Westerly by the western boundary of said
section, 173 links; Easterly by lines and other por-
tions of section aforesaid to commencing point, 68,
126, and 14 links respectively.

All the above measurements being either more or
less, and the several parcels of land being situate in
Section No. 1357, Survey District of Kanieri, Pro-
vincial District of Westland, and are more particu-
larly delineated upon the plan marked P.W.D.
7834, deposited in the Warden's Court at Kumara,
Provincial District of Westland.

Hares to be deemed Game within Provincial District
of Nelson.

A PROCLAMATION.

W HEREAS by a Proclamation made under "The
Protection of Animals Act, 1873," dated
the thirteenth day of October, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-nine, it was declared that hares
should cease to be deemed game within the Provin-
cial District of Nelson: And whereas it is expedient
to rescind such Proclamation:

Now, therefore, I, Hercules George Robert
Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of New Zea-
land, in exercise of the powers vested in me by the
above-named Act, and by "The Abolition of Pro-
vinces Act, 1875," do hereby rescind the aforesaid
Proclamation, and do proclaim and declare that, from
and after the date hereof, hares shall be deemed to

be game, and to come within the operation of the
said "Protection of Animals Act, 1873."

Defining the Middle Line of further Portion of the
Foxton to New Plymouth Railway (Hukatere to
Manutahi).

A PROCLAMATION.

W HEREAS the line of railway from Foxton to
New Plymouth is one of the railways specified
in the First Schedule to "The Public Works Act,
1879," and which Act is therein declared to be a
special Act authorizing the construction of such rail-
way; and the same is unfinished, and it has been
determined to construct and maintain a further por-
tion of such railway:

Now, therefore, I, Hercules George Robert Robin-
son, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in
exercise and in pursuance of the powers and authori-
ties conferred on me by sections one hundred and
twenty-two, one hundred and twenty-three, one hun-
dred and twenty-four, and one hundred and twenty-
five of "The Public Works Act, 1876," and in exercise
of every other power and authority enabling me in
that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
middle line of the said further portion of the said
railway shall be from a point situate in Section No.
61. to a point in Rural Section No. 366, all within
the Carlyle Survey District, Patea County, Pro-
vincial District of Taranaki, as defined and set forth
in the Schedule hereto. The said middle line and
the land through which the same passes are set forth
in the map and plan marked P.W.D. 7863, and
authenticated for the purposes of this Proclamation
by the signature of the Honorable Richard Oliver,
Minister for Public Works, and which said map and
plan is deposited in the office of the Registrar of
the Supreme Court at New Plymouth, in the Pro-
vincial District of Taranaki.

SCHEDULE.

COMMENCING at a point situate in Section No. 61,
the said point being the termination of a portion of
the railway from Foxton to New Plymouth, as
described in a Proclamation dated the 20th April,
1880, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No.
40 of the 22nd April, 1880; proceeding thence in a
generally north-westerly direction for a distance of
450 chains or thereabouts, and passing in, into,
through, or over the following lands, &c.: Rural
Sections Nos. 61, 547, Native Reserve No. 504;
Rural Sections Nos. 468, 488, 486, Educational
Reserve, No. 475, Township of Kakaramea, Sections
No. 57, 27, 26, and 25; Rural Sections Nos. 474, 454,
453, 451, 450, 446, 409, 408, 407, 406, 405, 367; and
terminating at a point in Rural Section No. 366, on
the eastern boundary-line of main road to Wanganui,
Township of Manutahi; all within the Carlyle
Survey District, Patea County, all within the Pro-
