easterly along high-water mark to the north-western
boundary of the Reserve No. 70 at Naval Point;
thence north-easterly along that boundary to its
north-eastern extremity; thence north-westerly along
high-water mark to the southern extremity of the
parcel of land described as Lot 11 in the Second
Schedule hereto; and from thence returning westerly,
100 links, to the commencing point, numbered 12 on
the plan, and therein coloured red.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

Lot 1. All that parcel of land containing 1.17
perches, more or less, being part of Lyttelton Town
Section No. 313, and bounded as follows: Com-
mencing at the northernmost corner of the said
section; thence south-easterly along the north-
eastern boundary of the said section, 16 links; thence
south-westerly by a line bearing 216° 24', 102 links;
and from thence returning north-easterly along the
north-western boundary of the said section, 94 links,
to the commencing point, numbered 1 on the plan,
and therein coloured green.

Lot 3. All that parcel of land containing 1 perch,
more or less, bounded as follows: Commencing at
the westernmost extremity of the parcel of land
described as Lot 2 in the First Schedule hereto;
thence westerly by a line bearing 259° 7', 135 links;
and from thence returning north-easterly and easterly
along high-water mark to the commencing point,
numbered 3 on the plan, and therein coloured green.

Lot 5. All that parcel of land containing 2 perches,
more or less, bounded as follows: Commencing at
the westernmost extremity of the parcel of land
described as Lot 4 in the First Schedule hereto;
thence westerly by a line bearing 259° 7', 85 links;
and from thence returning north-easterly and south-
easterly along high-water mark to the commencing
point, numbered 5 on the plan, and therein coloured
green.

Lot 7. All that parcel of land containing
3.8 perches, more or less, bounded as follows:
Commencing at the westernmost extremity of the
parcel of land described as Lot 6 in the First Sche-
dule hereto; thence westerly by a line bearing
259° 7', 130 links; and from thence returning north-
easterly and south-easterly along higl.-water mark to
the commencing point, numbered 7 on the plan, and
therein coloured green.

Lot 9. All that parcel of land containing
3.6 perches, more or less, bounded as follows:
Commencing at the south-westernmost extremity of
the parcel of land described as Lot 8 in the First
Schedule hereto; thence south-westerly by a line
bearing 208° 31', 184 links; and from thence return-
ing north-easterly and easterly along high-water mark
to the commencing point, numbered 9 on the plan,
and therein coloured green.

Lot 11. All that parcel of land containing 1 rood
24 perches, more or less, bounded as follows: Com-
mencing at a point in a line with the southern
boundary of Lyttelton Town Section No. 234, and
distant 100 links easterly from the south-eastern
corner of the said section; thence northerly by a line
parallel to the eastern boundary of the said section
and Town Section No. 235, 160 links; thence north-
easterly by a line parallel to the south-eastern
boundary of Town Sections Nos. 236 and 237, 201
links; thence north-easterly by a line parallel to the
south-eastern boundary of Town Sections Nos. 238,
line parallel to the south-eastern boundary of Town
Sections Nos. 241, 242, 243, and 244, 450 links;
thence north-easterly by a line bearing 28° 31', 154
links, to the south-western extremity of the parcel of
land described as Lot 10 in the First Schedule hereto;
and from thence returning westerly and south-
westerly along high-water mark to the commencing
point, numbered 11 on the plan, and therein coloured
green: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less, and
the same being more particularly delineated upon the
map attached to the memorial above referred to.

Declaring certain Lands to be a Portion of the Waimea
Water-race.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by "The Public Works Act, 1879,"
it is enacted that the Governor may, by
Proclamation publicly notified and gazetted, declare
any land therein specified, whether within or without,
or partly within and partly without, a proclaimed
gold-field, to be a water-race: And whereas by "The
Public Works Act, 1876," it is enacted that the
Minister shall cause a map of such water-race to be
deposited in the Warden's Court of the district in
which such land is; and such map shall be referred
to in and shall form part of any such Proclamation:
And whereas, for the purpose of supplying with
water a portion of the proclaimed gold field known
as the Westland Gold Field, there has been con-
structed within such proclaimed gold field a water-
race, called the Waimea Water-race:

Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the hereinbefore recited
Acts, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be and
the same are hereby declared to be portion of a
water-race for the purposes of the said Acts, called
the Waimea Water-race; and that the said lands are
shown on a map marked P.W.D. 7834, deposited in the
Warden's Court at Kumara, in the Provincial Dis-
trict of Westland.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 5 acres 3 roods 11 perches, more or
less, commencing at a point on the western boun-
dary of Section No. 1357, distant 17 links from the
north-west corner. Bounded-Generally Westerly
by the western boundary of said section, 1942
links; Easterly by lines and other portions of
