All the above measurements being more
or less, and situated in the Buller Coal
Field Reserve, Survey District of Kawa-
tiri, Provincial District of Nelson; as the
same are more particularly delineated upon
the plans marked P.W.D. 7847 and 6314,
deposited in the office of the Minister for
Public Works at Wellington, in the Pro-
vincial District of Wellington.

Stations.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
seventh day of July, 1880.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the twentieth section of "The
Westland and Nelson Coal Fields Administra-
tion Act, 1877," it is enacted that the Governor may,
by Order in Council, from time to time, reserve such
portions of the lands described in the First, Second,
Third, and Fourth Schedules to the said Act, which,
in his opinion, are required for any of the purposes
in the said section mentioned:
And whereas the lands described in the Schedule
hereto are lands subject to be dealt with under the
provisions of the said section, and, in the opinion of
the Governor, it is expedient to reserve the same for
the purposes therein named:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, in
exercise and pursuance of the above recited power,
and by and with the consent of the Executive Coun-
cil of New Zealand, doth hereby order and direct
that the lands mentioned in the first column of the
said Schedule hereto shall be reserved, and doth
hereby declare and define the purposes of the said
reserve to be that specified in the second column of
the said Schedule, the same being the purposes named
in the twentieth section of the said Act.

the Wellington Coal-Mining Company's
bridge. Bounded as follows: Generally
Southerly by a curvilinear line, 2700 links;
Westerly by a line, 430 links; generally
Southerly by lines, 1700 links, 4250 links,
700 links, and 1450 links respectively;
Westerly by a line, 1450 links; generally
Southerly by lines, 1920, 870, 1030, and
1300 links respectively; Easterly by a
line, 1100 links; Northerly by lines,
2200 and 2460 links respectively; Wes-
terly by a line, 650 links; generally
North-easterly by lines, 3050 and 3220
links respectively; Easterly by a line, 400
links; generally Northerly by the Wai-
mangaroa River to the commencing point. | For the use of the

"The Highways Act, 1871," brought into operation
within the Eparaima Highway District, County of
Waipawa.
HERCULES ROBINSON, Governor.
WHEREAS by an Act of the Provincial Council
of Hawke's Bay intituled "The Highways
Act, 1871," it is, amongst other things, enacted that
the Superintendent might, from time to time, on the
requisition of five voters, by notification in the Pro-
vincial Government Gazette, bring that Act into
operation in any district, and thereupon, but not
previously, that Act should come into and remain in
full operation therein; and in such notification the
day, hour, and place of meeting for the first meeting
of ratepayers for such district should be appointed:
And whereas, under the provisions of the said Act, a
portion of the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay
has been created a highway district by the name of
the Eparaima Highway District: And whereas the
powers vested in the Superintendent by the said Act
are now, by "The Abolition of Provinces Act, 1875,"
vested in the Governor: And whereas His Excellency
the Governor has received a requisition signed by five
voters of the Eparaima District, in the Provincial
District of Hawke's Bay, requesting him to bring the
said Act into operation in the said Eparaima District:
Now, therefore, I, Hercules George Robert Robin-
son, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in
pursuance and exercise of every power and authority
enabling me in that behalf, do, by this notification,
bring "The Highways Act, 1871," into operation
within the Eparaima Highway District, and do declare
that the first meeting of ratepayers under the said
Act shall be held at the Wallingford Hotel, on the
seventeenth day of July, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty, at two o'clock p.m.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this third day of July, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty.
