thousand eight hundred and eighty, of members of
the Glenledi Road Board for the Akatore Subdivision
of the said Glenledi Road District.

Land taken for Ahaura Bridge and Approaches,
County of Grey.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken under "The
Public Works Act, 1876," for a certain work, to wit,
the construction of a bridge and approaches thereto
over the Ahaura River, in the County of Grey, Pro-
vincial District of Nelson :

And whereas the Minister for Public Works has
laid before the Governor the memorial and map
'mentioned in and signed and certified as required by
the said Acts:

Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, in exercise and pursuance
of the powers and authorities in me vested by sections
twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-four,
and twenty-five of "The Public Works Act, 1876,"
and of any other power and authority enabling me
in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that
the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby
taken for the purposes of a bridge and approaches
thereto over the Ahaura River, in the County of Grey,
Provincial District of Nelson; and that, from and after
the twenty-fourth day of June, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty, the land so described shall be-
come absolutely vested in fee-simple in Her Majesty,
discharged from all mortgages, charges, claims,
estates, and interests of what kind soever.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 7 acres and 2 perches, more or less,
situate in the County of Grey, commencing at a point
on the eastern boundary of the convent grounds,
Ahaura Township; and bounded generally Westerly
by lines, 1167, 243, 1569, and 324 links respectively;
Southerly by the Greymouth and Reefton Road, 202
links; generally Easterly by lines, 227, 1580, 336, and
1121 links respectively; Northerly by Ahaura Town-
ship to commencing point, 138 and 100 links respec-
tively: the same being coloured pink on the map
attached to the memorial above referred to.

and Southland Education Reserves Leasing Act,
1878."

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities conferred upon me by the third
section of "The Otago and Southland Education
Reserves Leasing Act, 1878," I, Sir Hercules George
Robert Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, do hereby declare that the lands
enumerated in the Schedule hereto, which have been
set aside for settlement and lease in manner therein
provided, shall be open for leasing under the Act
aforesaid, upon the terms and conditions set forth in
an Order in Council of even date herewith, and made
under the fourth section of the said Act.
