think fit, and set the same aside for sale on deferred
payments, and in such Proclamation may fix a day
on which the land shall be open for application; and
that he may also in like manner set apart for sale on
deferred payments such blocks or allotments as may
be recommended by any Land Board, and may also
from time to time alter, amend, or revoke any such
Proclamation:
And whereas the Land Board of Southland did, on
the twenty-seventh day of May, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty, pass a resolution recommending
that the land described in the Schedule hereto
annexed should be set apart for sale on deferred
payments:
And whereas it is expedient to give effect to the
aforesaid recommendation, and to set apart the said
land accordingly:
Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of New Zea-
land, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority vested in me by the above-named Act, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the land described
in the Schedule hereto is set apart for sale on deferred
day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty,
shall be the day on which the said land shall be open
for application at the Land Office at Invercargill, in
allotments as surveyed and marked on the selection
map in that office.
And, further, in pursuance of the fifth section of
"The Land Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1879," I do
hereby fix the price at which the land so described
shall be sold to be the price set opposite each allot-
ment in the Schedule hereto.

Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," Borough of
Akaroa.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-second day of June, 1880.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it has been made to appear that cer-
tain things required to be done by "The
Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," in connection
with the making and revision of the burgess lists or
rolls of the Borough of Akaroa, cannot be done by
or within the time required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the power
and authority vested in him by the twelfth section of
the said Act, and by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth
hereby extend the time for the doing of the said
things in connection with the burgess lists or rolls of
the Borough of Akaroa, and doth declare that the
times for the doing of such several things shall be
those which are specified in the Schedule hereto
annexed.
SCHEDULE.
-
Burgess and defaulters' lists open for inspection,
and receiving objections thereto: Until the 15th
June, 1880. -
Inspection of lists of objections: From the 16th
to the 21st June, 1880. -
Sitting of Council to determine claims and
objections: On the 25th June, 1880. -
Burgess roll to come into force: On the 1st
July, 1880.

Terms and Conditions of Leases under "The Otago
and Southland Education Reserves Leasing Act,
*1878."

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-second day of June, 1880.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities
conferred by the fourth section of "The
Otago and Southland Education Reserves Leasing
Act, 1878," His Excellency the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby
determine the under-mentioned terms and condi-
tions to be the terms and conditions upon which the
leases of the lands set forth in the Second Sche-
dule hereto, which lands have been set aside for
settlement and lease as provided by the third section
of the said Act, shall be sold, that is to say,-
- No person by himself or agent shall be permitted
to lease more than one allotment.
