And whereas the Waitahuna Road Board has
laid before the Governor the memorial and map men-
tioned in and signed and certified as required by the
said Acts:
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by
admeasurement 2 acres 1 rood 25 perches, more
or less, situate in the Survey District of Waitahuna
East, Provincial District of Otago, being portions of
Sections Nos. 58, 18, 19, and 20, Block V., Waita-
huna; commencing at a point distant 612 links from
the south-east corner of Section No. 58. Bounded
—Generally Easterly by portion of Sections Nos. 58,
22, and Tokomairiro and Lawrence Railway, 970, 292,
559, 1570, 1191, and 54 links respectively; North-
westerly by Sections Nos. 20, 19, 18, and 58, 1217,
1570, 22, 24, 544, 292, and 967 links respectively;
Southerly by public road to commencing point, 53
links: be all the aforesaid linkages either more or
less; as delineated upon the plan attached to the
memorial above referred to.

Land taken for Road in Putiki Native Reserve,
Wangaehu Highway District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken under "The
Public Works Act, 1876," and "The Public Works
Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878," for a certain work,
to wit, the construction of a road in the Putiki Native
Reserve, Wangaehu Highway District, County of
Wanganui:
And whereas the Wangaehu Highway Board has
laid before the Governor the memorial and map men-
tioned in and signed and certified as required by the
said Acts:
Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, in exercise and pursuance
of the powers and authorities in me vested by sections
twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-four,
and twenty-five of "The Public Works Act, 1876,"
and by section twenty-eight of "The Public Works
Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878," and of any other
power and authority enabling me in that behalf, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the land described
in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the pur-
poses of a road; and that, from and after the seven-
teenth day of June, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty, the land so described shall become abso-
lutely vested in fee-simple in Her Majesty, discharged
from all mortgages, charges, claims, estates, and in-
terests of what kind soever, for use as a road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 3 roods 2 perches, more or less, being
part of the Putiki Native Reserve, situate in the
Wangaehu Highway District, County of Wanganui.
Commencing at a point on the south-east boundary
of the present No. 2 line of road, at a distance of
131 links on a bearing of 344° 4' from the south-
easternmost corner of Section No. 44. Bounded—
South-easterly by lines, 488 and 1441 links respec-
tively, to the boundary between those portions of
the said Putiki Native Reserve occupied by F. R.
Jackson and D. G. Polson; Easterly by portion
occupied by F. R. Jackson, 40 links; North-westerly
by lines, 1421 and 465 links respectively; North-
easterly by the south-eastern boundary of No. 2 line
of road to commencing point, 40 links or thereabouts :
the above particulars being more particularly deli-
neated upon the plan attached to the memorial above
referred to.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section nine of "The Canterbury
Road Ordinance, 1872," it is enacted that, at
any time after the first ordinary annual election or
general election, as the case may be, of the Board for
any district, the Superintendent, if he shall have
received a petition to that effect from the Board of
the said district, may, by Proclamation, within three
months after the receipt of the same, divide the dis-
trict into two or more separate subdivisions, by such
names as shall by such Proclamation be assigned to
the same, and in and by such Proclamation the
