Land taken for Road in Block VI., Waiwera Survey
District, Wainui Highway District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken under "The
Public Works Act, 1876,"
and "The Public Works
Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878,"
for a certain work,
to wit, the construction of a road in Block six, Wai-
wera Survey District, Wainui Highway District,
County of Rodney:

And whereas the Wainui Highway Board has laid
before the Governor the memorial and map men-
tioned in and signed and certified as required by the
said Acts:

Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, in exercise and pursuance
of the powers and authorities in me vested by sections
twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-four,
and twenty-five of "The Public Works Act, 1876,"
and by section twenty-eight of "The Public Works
Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878,"
and of any other
power and authority enabling me in that behalf, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the land described
in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the pur-
poses of a road; and that, from and after the third
day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty,
the land so described shall become absolutely vested
in fee-simple in Her Majesty, discharged from all
mortgages, charges, claims, estates, and interests of
what kind soever, for use as a road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land within the Waiwera
Survey District, Block VI., in the Provincial District
of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 5 acres
2 roods 19 perches, more or less, commencing at
a point on the boundary of Allotment 196, at the
south-east corner, joining the present road. Bounded

tions Nos. 196, 193, 43, and 42, 5040, 2868, 417,
and 2420 links respectively, to a point on land ad-
joining belonging to the Crown; generally Southerly
by other portions of Crown land, and Sections Nos.
43, 195, Cemetery Reserve, and Section No. 196,
343, 875, 1205, 396, 2876, and 4853 links respec-
tively, to the road at starting point: the same being
coloured pink on plan attached to the memorial
above referred to.

Given under the hand of His Excellency
Sir Hercules George Robert Robinson,
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distin-
guished Order of Saint Michael and Saint
George, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued
under the Seal of the said Colony, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-seventh day of May, in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and eighty.
