Act, 1876," I, Hercules George Robert Robinson,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the said Act shall
come into force, in respect of all the elective offices
of the Opotiki Highway District Board, within the
district known as the Opotiki Highway District,
County of Whakatane.
Given under the hand of His Excellency
Sir Hercules George Robert Robinson,
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distin-
guished Order of Saint Michael and Saint
George, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued
under the Seal of the said Colony, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
eighth day of June, in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
eighty.

Addition to Wairau Gold Field.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by a Proclamation under "The Gold
Fields Act, 1866," made by the Governor, and
bearing date the twenty-eighth day of December, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-seven, certain
boundaries were appointed to be the limits of the
Wairau Gold Field:
And whereas by the sixth section of "The Mines
Act, 1877," it is enacted that it shall be lawful for
the Governor from time to time, by Proclamation, to
constitute and appoint any portion of the colony to
be a mining district under this Act, to assign boun-
daries to such district, to enlarge, contract, or other-
wise alter such boundaries, and to declare by what
local name every such district shall be designated;
and, until the Governor shall otherwise order, every
gold field duly proclaimed or constituted at the time
of the commencement of this Act shall be and be
deemed a mining district under this Act:
And whereas it is desirable and expedient to
enlarge the boundaries of the said gold field:
Now, therefore, I, Hercules George Robert
Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authority vested in me by "The Mines Act,
1877," do hereby proclaim and order that the said
mining district shall be and the same is hereby
enlarged, so that such mining district shall include
the land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Marlborough, bounded towards the North-west and
North by the summit of the watershed between the
Wairau and Pelorus Valleys; towards the North-
east by the summit of the watershed between the
Pine Valley Stream and the Cat Valley Stream
to a point due west of the north-west angle of
Section No. 34, Pine Valley Survey District;
thence again towards the North by a right line
due east to the north-west angle aforesaid; again
towards the North-east by said Section No. 34
and Sections Nos. 33, 32, and 31 of said survey dis-
trict to a road, and thence by that road to the
Wairau River; towards the South-east by that river
to a point in line with the eastern boundary of
Section No. 58, Mount Olympus Survey District;
thence towards the West to and by that section and
by a right line, being the eastern boundary of said
[No. 61
Section No. 58, produced to the summit of the range;
thence by lines forming the western and northern
boundaries of Oddstone Run to Hillersden Cattle
Run, and thence by lines forming the western boun-
dary of said Hillersden Run to the summit of the
watershed: as the same is delineated on the plan
deposited in the Survey Office, Blenheim.

Extension of Time for Preparation of County Rolls,
County of Patea.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
eighth day of June, 1880.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it has been made to appear that
certain things required to be done by "The
Counties Act, 1876," in connection with the making
and revision of the county roll of the County of
Patea, cannot be done by or within the times required
by the said Act:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the power
and authority vested in him by the two hundred and
eleventh section of the said Act, and by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said colony, doth hereby extend the time for the
doing of the said things in connection with the
county roll of the said County of Patea, and doth
declare that the time for the doing of such several
things shall be those which are specified in the
Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ROLL shall be opened for inspection: Until the
15th June, 1880.
Objections to roll received: Until the 30th June,
1880.
Day appointed for revision of roll: Some day
on or after the 1st July, 1880, but Revision Court
shall not sit after the 21st July, 1880.
Roll shall come into force: On the 2nd August,
1880.
