18th June instant to be a Bank Half-holiday in
Timaru.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of all powers and
authorities enabling me in that behalf, I, Her-
cules George Robert Robinson, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and
declare that, by an Order in Council made under the
provisions of "The Bank Holidays Act, 1873," and
"The Bank Holidays Amendment Act, 1878," and
bearing even date herewith, I have declared that
Friday, the eighteenth day of June instant, shall
be a bank half-holiday, from the hour of noon,
within the Borough of Timaru, under and for the
purposes of the said Acts.

Given under the hand of His Excellency
Sir Hercules George Robert Robinson,
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distin-
guished Order of Saint Michael and Saint
George, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued
under the Seal of the said Colony, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
eighth day of June, in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and eighty.

that cock-pheasants and Californian quail may be
hunted, shot, taken, or killed between the first day
of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty, and
the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty, and hares between the first day
of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty, and
the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hun-
dred and eighty, within the Lake County: And
whereas it is expedient to amend such Proclamation:
Now, therefore, I, Hercules George Robert Robin-
son, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in
exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the
said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that that
part of the said Proclamation above recited is hereby
revoked, and that Californian quail, only, shall be
open to be shot, taken, or killed, between the first
day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty,
and the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty, within the said Lake County.

Amended Proclamation of Shooting Season for Lake
County.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation made under "The
Protection of Animals Act, 1873," dated the
sixteenth day of April. one thousand eight hundred
and eighty, it was, amongst other things, enacted,

Declaring "Regulation of Local Elections Act, 1876,"
in force within the Opotiki Highway District,
County of Whakatane.

BY virtue of the power vested in me by the third
section of "The Regulation of Local Elections

ERRATUM.-In New Zealand Gazette No. 36, of 15th April, page 501, for "Punia Tuhakaraina," read "Punia Kaikino."
