Land taken for Road in Motueka Survey District,
Highway District of Motueka, County of Waimea.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken under "The
Public Works Act, 1876," and "The Public Works
Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878," for a certain work,
to wit, the construction of a road through the
hereinafter mentioned sections:

And whereas the Motueka Highway Board has
laid before the Governor the memorial and map
mentioned in and signed and certified as required by
the said Acts:

Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, in exercise and pursuance
of the powers and authorities in me vested by sections
twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-four,
and twenty-five of "The Public Works Act, 1876,"
and by section twenty-eight of "The Public Works
Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878," and of any other
power and authority enabling me in that behalf, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the land described
in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the pur-
poses of a road; and that, from and after the third
day of June, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty, the land so described shall become absolutely
vested in fee-simple in Her Majesty, discharged
from all mortgages, charges, claims, estates, and
interests of what kind soever, for use as a road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL those pieces or parcels of land in the Motueka
Survey District, Highway District of Motueka,
County of Waimea, Provincial District of Nelson,
running into and through the following sections:—

Sections 250, 251, 252 (granted together), Block
III.: The centre of the line of road commences at a
point within Section 250, on the southern side of the
main road from Motueka to Pangatotara, the said
point being 839 links north-west of and distant from
the western boundary of the Wakarewa trust pro-
perty; thence by lines in a south-westerly direction
to a point in the boundary line between Sections 252
and 253, distant 2544 links from the south-east
corner of said Section 252, 4332 links: containing
by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods 15 perches, more
or less.

Section 253, Block III.: Commencing at a point
on the boundary line between Sections 252 and 253,
distant 2544 links from the south-east corner of
Section 252; thence by lines in a south-westerly
direction to a point on the boundary line between
Sections 253 and 254, distant 560 links from the
north-east corner of Section 254, 1077 links: con-
taining by admeasurement 2 roods 23 perches, more
or less.

Section 254, Block III. Commencing at a point
on the boundary line between Sections 253 and 254,
distant 560 links from the north-east corner of
Section 254; thence by lines in a southerly direction
to a point on the boundary line between Sections
254 and 255, distant 380 links from the north-east
corner of Section 255, 1359 links: containing by
admeasurement 3 roods 11 perches, more or less.

Sections 255, 256, and 3 of 31, Block III.: Com-
mencing at a point on the boundary line between
Sections 254 and 255, distant 380 links in a westerly
direction from the north-east corner of Section 255;
thence by lines in a southerly direction to a cross
road which runs between Sections 3 of 31 and 257,
distant 415 links from the south-east corner of Section
256, 3278 links: containing by admeasurement 1
acre 3 roods 34 perches, more or less.

Sections 257, 258, 259, 1 of 32, and 1 of 33, Block
VII.: Commencing at a point on the north side of
a cross road which runs between Sections 3 of 31 and
257, distant 415 links from the south-east corner of
Section 256; thence by lines in a southerly and
south-westerly direction to a point at the north-east
corner of Section 261, 6702 links: containing by
admeasurement 3 acres 3 roods 37 perches (except-
ing the cross road first mentioned), more or less.

Section 261, Block VII.: Commencing at the
north-east corner of Section 261, thence by lines in
a south-westerly direction to a point on the boundary
line between Sections 261 and 262, distant 484 links
from the north-east corner of Section 262, 1200 links:
containing by admeasurement 2 roods 28 perches,
more or less.

Section 262, Block VII.: Commencing at a point
on the boundary line between Sections 261 and 262,
distant 484 links from the north-east corner of Sec-
tion 262; thence by lines in a south-westerly direction
to a point on the boundary line between Sections
262 and 266, distant 1397 links from the north-east
corner of Section 266, 2049 links: containing by
admeasurement 1 acre and 37 perches, more or less.

Sections 266, 267, 268, Blocks VI. and VII.:
Commencing at a point on the boundary line between
Sections 262 and 266, distant 1397 links from the
north-east corner of Section 266; thence by lines in
a south-westerly direction to a point on the boundary
line between Sections 268 and 263, distant 886 links
from the north-east corner of Section 263, 4080
links: containing by admeasurement 2 acres 1 rood
12 perches, more or less.

Sections 263 and part of Section 264, Block VI.:
Commencing at a point on the boundary line between
Sections 263 and 268, distant 886 links from the
north-east corner of Section 263; thence by lines in
a south-westerly direction to a point on the main
line of road on the east bank of the Motueka River,
6078 links: containing by admeasurement 3 acres 2
roods 23 perches, more or less.

Section 51 and Crown land, Block VI.: 2nd.
Again commencing at a point on the main line of
road 1052 links from the south corner of Section
264; thence by lines in a southerly and south-westerly
direction to a point on the boundary line between
Sections 51 and 52, distant 1159 links from the
south-east corner of Section 51, 6492 links: contain-
ing by admeasurement 3 acres 3 roods 23 perches,
more or less.

Section 52, Block VI.: Commencing at a point on
the boundary line between Sections 51 and 52, distant
1159 links from the south-east corner of Section 51;
thence by lines in a south-westerly direction to a
point on the boundary line between Section 52 and
the main line of road, distant 780 links from the
north-east corner of Section 58, 5128 links: contain-
ing by admeasurement 3 acres and 11 perches, more
or less.

Section 58, Blocks VI. and X.: 3rd. Again com-
mencing at a point on the main line of road, distant
2667 links from the north corner of Section 58;
thence by lines in a southerly direction to a point on
the main line of road, distant 663 links from the
north boundary of Block X., 1916 links: containing
by admeasurement 1 acre and 24 perches, more or
less.

Sections 59 and 16, Block X.: 4th. Again com-
mencing at a point on the main line of road distant
1568 links from the north boundary of Block X.,
(measured along the traverse lines); thence by lines
south-westerly to a point on the main line of road
