A PROCLAMATION.

Y virtue of the powers and authorities vested in
me by the seventh section of "The Rabbit
Nuisance Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1877," I,
Herculea George Robert Robinson, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and
declare that, from and after the day of the date
hereof, "The Regulation of Local Elections Act,
1876," shall come into force in the Masterton Rabbit
District, as constituted by Order in Council of the
eighteenth day of May, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty.
And I do hereby further proclaim and declare that
the first election of Trustees of the said district shall
be held on the twenty-sixth day of June next, at the
Courthouse, Masterton; and I appoint
ROBERT WILSONE
to be Returning Officer to conduct the first elections
of Trustees for the said district.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
eighteenth day of May, 1880.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance of the power and authority vested in
him by the one hundred and forty-fifth section of"The Public Works Act, 1876," and of all other
powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf,
His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council thereof, doth hereby make the
following addition to by-law forty-eight, as fixed by
Order in Council dated the seventeenth day of Decem-
ber, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight,
and doth declare that the same shall come into force
from the day of the date hereof:--
ADDITION TO BY-LAW 48.
Ledger accounts will be allowed to merchants and
others doing above an average amount of business with
the railways, which average amount will from time
to time be fixed by the Minister. All ledger accounts
will be rendered weekly, and if not paid within one
week after the account is rendered the ledger account
will be closed, and the amount due collected forth-
with. No claim upon the Government will be allowed
as a set off against a ledger account or other claim
of the railways. All accounts must be paid as ren-
dered, and any ascertained errors will be adjusted in
the next account.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
eighteenth day of May, 1880.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

HEREAS it has been made to appear that
certain things required to be done by "The
Counties Act, 1876," in connection with the making
and revision of the county roll of the County of
Grey, cannot be done by or within the times required
by the said Act:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the power
and authority vested in him by the two hundred and
eleventh section of the said Act, and by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said colony, doth hereby extend the time for the
doing of the said things in connection with the
county roll of the said County of Grey, and doth
declare that the time for the doing of such several
things shall be those which are specified in the
Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
- For the preparation of the county roll: On or
before the 3rd May, 1880. - Roll shall be open for inspection: Until the
31st May, 1880. - Objections to roll received: Until the 31st
May, 1880.
