IN pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority in this behalf enabling me, I, Hercules
George Robert Robinson, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, do hereby fix and appoint that
sittings of the District Court of the Tokomairiro and
Clutha District shall be held as follows, in lieu of
those previously fixed and appointed :-
In the Resident Magistrate's Courthouse, at
Tokomairiro, for the despatch of criminal
and civil business, on the eighteenth day of
May, on the thirteenth day of July, on the
fourteenth day of September, and on the six-
teenth day of November next.
In the Resident Magistrate's Courthouse, at
Balclutha, for the despatch of criminal and
civil business, on the twenty-fourth day of
June, on the nineteenth day of August, on
the twenty-first day of October, and on the
twenty-third day of December next.
In the Resident Magistrate's Courthouse, at
Tapanui, for the despatch of criminal and
civil business, on the twentieth day of May,
on the fifteenth day of July, on the sixteenth
day of September, and on the eighteenth day
of November next.
Provided that in case any of the days so fixed as
aforesaid shall happen to be a Sunday or a holiday,
then the Court appointed for that day shall be holden
on the first day thereafter not being a Sunday or
a holiday.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this fifth day of May, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty.

over Land granted in the Hawke's Bay Provincial
District.

WHEREAS by "The Native Land Act, 1873,"
and "The Native Land Act Amendment Act,
1878 (No. 2)," it is enacted that, from and out of
any land which may have heretofore been or may
be granted under the provisions of any of the Acts
repealed by "The Native Land Act, 1873," or of
that Act, it shall be lawful for the Governor, at any
time thereafter, to take and lay off for public pur-
poses one or more line or lines of road or railway
through the said lands: Provided that the total
quantity of land which may be taken for such line or
lines of road shall not be more than after the rate of
five acres in every one hundred acres: Provided
always that this power shall cease and determine at
the expiration of fifteen years from the date of the
grant of the said land:
And whereas it is expedient that a fit and proper
person should be authorized to take and lay down
roads over the land specified in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, I, Hercules George Robert Robin-
son, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in
exercise and pursuance of all powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, do hereby authorize

Members of Moeraki Harbour Board appointed.

Wellington, 6th May, 1880.
HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased, in
pursuance of the provisions of section 40 of
"The Harbours Act, 1878," to appoint
HENRY THOMAS MURCOTT
to be a Member of the Moeraki Harbour Board, in
place of Joseph Reid Bremner, resigned; and to
appoint
JOHN ANDREW
to be a Member of the aforesaid Board, in place of
Andrew McKerrow, who has forfeited his seat by
being absent, without leave of the Board, from four
consecutive meetings thereof.
