Te Awamutu, Tauranga, Thames, Raglan, and Wairoa
Districts; and the boundaries of the said districts
shall be coterminous with the boundaries of districts
bearing the same names as are set forth in a Procla-
mation of even date herewith, made under the provi-
sions of "The Marriage Act Amendment Act, 1858;"
and I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall
come into operation and take effect on the first day
of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-nine.

Sir Hercules George Robert Robinson,
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distin-
guished Order of Saint Michael and Saint
George, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued
under the Seal of the said Colony, at
the Government House, at Wellington,
this twenty-sixth day of August, in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hun-
dred and seventy-nine.

Land taken for Road in Section 59, Block IV., Car-
lyle Survey District, Provincial District of Tara-
naki.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken under "The
Public Works Act, 1876,"
and "The Public Works
Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878,"
for a certain work,
to wit, the construction of a road in Section fifty-
nine, Block four, Carlyle Survey District, Provincial
District of Taranaki:

And whereas the Patea West Road Board has laid
before the Governor the memorial and map men-
tioned in and signed and certified as required by the
said Acts:

Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, in exercise and pursuance
of the powers and authorities in me vested by sec-
tions twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-
four, and twenty-five of "The Public Works Act,
1876,"
and by section twenty-eight of "The Public
Works Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878,"
and of
any other power and authority enabling me in that
behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land
described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for
the purposes of a road; and that, from and after the
eighteenth day of March, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty, the land so described shall become abso-
lutely vested in fee-simple in Her Majesty, dis-
charged from all mortgages, charges, claims, estates,
and interests of what kind soever, for use as a road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 1 acre 1 rood 37 perches, more or
less, situated in the Survey District of Carlyle, Pro-
vincial District of Taranaki, being portion of Section
No. 59, Block IV: Commencing at a point 1061
links south of D on original road line, being 29Β° 54β€²
magnetic; thence generally easterly by lines, 652,
102, 410, and 524 links respectively; thence gene-
rally westerly by lines, 139, 412, 372, 497, and 104
links respectively to the commencing point: be the
aforesaid linkages either more or less; the above

particulars being delineated on the map attached to
the memorial referred to.

for a certain work,
to wit, the construction of a road in Blocks two and
three, Kaeo Survey District, Provincial District of
Auckland:

And whereas the Kaeo District Board has laid
before the Governor the memorial and map men-
tioned in and signed and certified as required by the
said Acts:

Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, in exercise and pursuance

situate in the Survey District of Kaeo, Provincial
District of Auckland, being a portion of the Pakonga
Block; commencing at a point distant from the
most westerly point of the Pakonga Block, 140 links.
Bounded northerly by a line, 108 links; thence gene-
rally north-easterly by lines, 285, 343, 197, 248,
1187, 481, 498, and 829 links respectively; thence
easterly by a line, 115 links; thence generally south-
westerly by lines to the commencing point, 874, 500,
519, 1198, 238, 183, 339, 304, and 45 links respec-
tively, or thereabouts.

Also all that piece or parcel of land containing
by admeasurement 2 roods 33 perches, more or
less, situated in the above survey district, being a
portion of Block III., the land granted to W. Spick-
man; commencing at a point distant from the most
