of Addington, Gentleman, claiming as Admin-

Mining Notices.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-
RACE.

To the Mining Registrar at Naseby of the Mount
Ida Mining District, and all other persons whom
it may concern.

TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a
Water-race, and divert water for domestic and

irrigation purposes, commencing at a point Section
1A, Block IV., in Home Gully, passing through Sec-
tions 8, 7, 6, Block VIII., and terminating in Section
5, Block VIII, Home Gully, Maniototo District.

The mean breadth and depth of such race is 2 feet
by 1 foot; length about 2 miles; and it is proposed
to divert one Government-head of water.

Notice of objection to the above application must
be lodged at the Mining Registrar's Office, Naseby,
within thirty days from the date hereof.

PATENT for an Improved Kiln, with Improvements
in Burning Bricks, Tiles, and Pottery.

NEWENHAM ACTON GRAYDON, of Dunedin, has
deposited at this office a specification of the said
invention, and I have appointed Friday, the 10th day
of December next, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, at
this office, to hear the said application and all objec-
tions thereto; and I require all persons having an
interest in opposing the grant of such Letters Patent
to leave, on or before the 6th day of December next,
at this office, particulars in writing of their objections
to the said application, otherwise they will be pre-
cluded from urging the same.
