SCHEDULE.
THE regulations for the Hauraki Gold-Mining
District, published in the New Zealand Gazette
No. 54, of the 1st October, 1875, with the following
amendments:-
To Regulation No. 5, Part I., the following words
to be added: "If the nature of the ground do not
permit of such trench being cut, in lieu thereof the
boundary-lines may be marked for a distance of 6
feet from each angle-post by posts or cairns of stones
2 feet apart."
The following new rule to follow Regulation
No. 5:-
All claims marked out within one month of the
Proclamation of a new district shall be represented
by at least one man for each 15,000 square feet of
land so marked out. Each man to be the holder of
a miner's right in force, and to be on the ground
continuously from day to day for the ten days
succeeding the day of marking out.
To Regulation No. 12, Part I., the following words
to be added: "All claims shall be deemed to be
abandoned if the notice required by Regulation 6 be
not given, or if the claim be not registered within the
time prescribed by Regulation 7."
In Regulation No. 38, Part II., the words "Pro-
vincial Government Gazette" to be omitted, and the
following words to be inserted in lieu thereof: "in
one or more newspapers circulating in the district."
To Regulation No. 50, Part III., after "business
site," in the last line, the following to be added: "or
business license."
In Regulation No. 57, Part IV., all the words
before "wheresoever," in the second line, to be struck
out, and the following words to be inserted: "The
Warden shall have power to reserve from occupation
any land required for roads, and may cause main or
trunk lines, and all roads required for public use, to
be laid out."
In the Schedule of Fees, the fee for application
for protection of claims to be one shilling instead of
one pound one shilling, and the following to be
added: "The fees of Court to be charged shall be
the same as those for the time being in force in the
Hauraki Gold-Mining District, until otherwise fixed."

Vesting a Reserve.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-third day of November, 1880.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule
hereto was reserved for a ferry:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Administrator
of the Government, it is expedient to vest the said
lands in the Wairarapa East County Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator
of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in him by the sixth section of "The Public
Reserves Act Amendment Act, 1878," doth hereby
declare that, from and after the day of the date
hereof, the said reserves shall become vested in the
said Chairman, Councillors, and inhabitants of the
County of Wairarapa East, in trust, for a ferry.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Wellington, containing by admeasurement 53 acres,
more or less, being Section No. 101 on the plan of
the Ahiaruhe Block, in the Tiffin Survey District.
Bounded towards the North by the Tuarawhati
Native Block, 2010 links; towards the East by the
Makahakaha Stream, 5400 links; and towards the
West by the Ruamahunga River, 6500 links: as the
same is delineated on the official map in the Survey
Office, Wellington.

Regulations for the Aroha Gold-Mining District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-fifth day of November, 1880.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by "The Gold-Mining Districts Act,
1873," it is enacted that it shall be lawful for
the Governor, subject to the provisions of the said
Act, from time to time to make, alter, amend, and
revoke rules and regulations for all or any of the
purposes therein set forth, and that no such rule or
regulation shall become or have the effect of law
until the same shall have been approved by the
Governor in Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, and in exercise and
pursuance of all power in that behalf enabling him,
doth hereby make the regulations set forth in the
Schedule hereto for the Aroha Gold-Mining District,
in the Provincial District of Auckland.

SCHEDULE.

Land temporarily reserved in the Provincial Dis-
tricts of Auckland and Otago.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth
section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted
that the Governor may from time to time, either by
general or particular description, and whether the
same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale
temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be
then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands
which, in his opinion, are required for any of the
purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, Chief Jus-
tice of the Colony of New Zealand, and Adminis-
trator of the Govenment thereof, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in
me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve
from sale the land in the Provincial Districts of
Auckland and Otago described in the Schedule
hereunder written, for the purpose in the said
Schedule specified.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND.

ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement
17 acres 3 roods 14 perches, more or less, being Lot
