tion bearing even date herewith, in relation to the
issue of licenses within "The Aroha Special Licens-
ing District," which has been constituted within the
Provincial District of Auckland, His Excellency the
Administrator of the Government of the Colony of
New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of
the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby
make the following regulations aforesaid:—
REGULATIONS.
- Licenses may be issued for the sale of alcoholic
liquors within the Special Licensing District of Aroha,
upon payment of a fee not exceeding forty pounds
nor less than twenty pounds. - All such licenses shall be made to expire on the
thirty-first day of December next following the date
of granting the same. - The house and premises in respect of which any
such license may be granted shall not be opened
before six o'clock in the morning, and shall be closed
at ten o'clock at night; provided that upon payment
at the time of issue of license of an extra fee of five
pounds, permission may be given to keep open the
licensed premises till twelve o'clock p.m.; but
the restrictions in this regulation contained shall
not apply to the supply of refreshments to bonâ fide
travellers. - No such licensed house or premises shall be
opened for the sale of alcoholic liquors on Sundays,
except in the case of bonâ fide travellers as afore-
said. - The accommodation to be provided in respect
of any house or premises for which a license shall be
applied for hereunder shall be such as shall be ap-
proved of by the person empowered to grant such
license. - Applications for licenses must be in writing,
addressed to the person empowered to grant the
same, and must specify the locality for which the
license is asked, and the accommodation provided or
intended to be provided for the public, and the hours
during which it is proposed such house and premises
shall be open. - Except in so far as they may be inconsistent
with or contrary to the provisions of section 39 of
"The Licensing Act 1873 Amendment Act, 1874,"
and of these regulations, the whole of the laws now
in force within the Provincial District of Auckland
for the regulation of the sale of alcoholic liquors
shall be applicable to all licenses granted hereunder;
and, excepting as aforesaid, any such licensee shall
be deemed to have imposed upon him all the duties,
liabilities, and obligations which are imposed upon
the holders of publicans' licenses under the said laws. - Every license granted hereunder shall be sub-
ject to be forfeited, if in the opinion of the person
empowered to grant licenses hereunder it shall be
necessary or desirable to do so; and such forfeiture
shall be deemed to be complete when notice thereof
under his hand shall have been delivered to the
licensee or affixed to the licensed premises.

Warden's Court established for Aroha Gold Mining
District

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-fifth day of November, 1880.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by "The Gold Mining Districts Act,
1873," it is enacted that it shall be lawful for
the Governor, by Order in Council, to establish for
any gold-mining district constituted under that
Act a Warden's Court, for the administration of
justice therein, and any such Court to abolish :
And whereas it is expedient that a Warden's Court
should be established for the Aroha Gold-Mining
District, in the Provincial District of Auckland:
Now, therefore, the Administrator of the Govern-
ment of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the said colony, and in pursuance and exercise of the
power and authority vested in the Governor as afore-
said, doth hereby establish and appoint for the
Aroha Gold Mining District a Warden's Court for
the administration of justice therein, to be held at
the Courthouse, Aroha.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-third day of November, 1880.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers granted
to the Governor by "The Mines Act, 1877,"
His Excellency the Administrator of the Government
of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said colony, doth hereby constitute for the Nelson
South-West Gold-Mining District a Warden's Court
for the administration of justice therein, and doth
hereby appoint that such Court shall be held at
Barrytown.

Fixing Date of Sitting of Circuit Court at Wellington.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-fifth day of November, 1880.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it hath been appointed by an Order
in Council dated the twenty-eighth day of
September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty,
that there shall be held in the Wellington District,
at the Supreme Courthouse at Wellington, on Mon-
day, the twenty-ninth day of November next, a
Circuit Court for the despatch of civil and criminal
business of the said Court; and it is expedient that
the said Circuit Court, for the despatch of the
criminal business thereof, should be held elsewhere
than at the aforesaid Supreme Courthouse :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, in pursuance and exercise
of all powers and authorities enabling him in that
behalf, doth hereby appoint that there shall be held
in the Wellington District, at the Resident Magis-
trate's Courthouse, Wellington, on Thursday, the
ninth day of December next, a Circuit Court for the
despatch of criminal business of the said Court.
