Provincial District of Otago, being portions of Sec-
tions 11 and 12, Block II, commencing at a point on
boundary between halves of Section 11 distant 637
links or thereby from south-west corner of northern
half of Section 11. Bounded—Generally westerly by
lines, 31, 114, 446, and 444 links respectively; North-
westerly by public road, 100 links or thereby; gene-
rally Easterly by lines, 488, 488, 82, and 66 links
respectively; South-westerly by boundary between
halves of Section 11 to commencing point, 113 links
or thereby: be all the aforesaid measurements more
or less, and the same being more particularly de-
lineated on the map attached to the memorial above
referred to.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule
hereto are required to be taken under the
provisions of "The Public Works Act, 1876," "The
Public Works Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878," and
"The Public Works Act, 1880," for certain works
now in course of execution, to wit, the reclamation
of a portion of the Lyttelton Harbour at Dampier's
Bay, and the construction of a graving dock there-
in:
And whereas the Lyttelton Harbour Board has
laid before the Governor the memorial and map
mentioned in the said Acts and signed and certified as required by
the said Acts:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Ad-
ministrator of the Government of the Colony of
New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of
the Executive Council of the said colony, in exercise
and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me
vested by sections twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-
three, twenty-four, and twenty-five of "The Public
Works Act, 1876," by section twenty-eight of "The
Public Works Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878," and
by section sixteen of "The Public Works Act, 1880,"
and of any other power and authority enabling me in
that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
lands described in the Schedule hereto are hereby
taken for the purposes of harbour works, and that,
from and after the eighteenth day of November, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty, the lands so
described shall become and are hereby absolutely
vested in fee-simple in the Lyttelton Harbour
Board, discharged from all mortgages, charges,
claims, estates and interests of what kind soever, to
be used for harbour works.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land situate in the Town of
Lyttelton, being the Town Section marked 231 on
the map or plan of the Chief Surveyor for the Pro-
vincial District of Canterbury, setting out and de-
scribing the Town of Lyttelton aforesaid.
Also all that parcel of land situate in the Town of
Lyttelton aforesaid, being the Town Section marked
234 on the said map or plan of the Chief Surveyor
for the Provincial District of Canterbury; as the said
parcels of land are shown in the plan, and marked
with the respective numbers of the said sections.
Given under the hand of His Excellency James
Prendergast, Esquire, Chief Justice, the
Administrator of the Government of Her
Majesty's Colony of New Zealand; and
issued under the Seal of the said Colony,
at the Government House, at Wellington,

Land set apart on Deferred Payments in the West
Coast Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the fifty-third section of "The
Land Act, 1877," it is enacted that the
Governor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from
time to time set apart out of any suburban or rural
lands such blocks or allotments of land as he shall
think fit, and set the same aside for sale on deferred
payments, and in such Proclamation may fix a day
on which the land shall be open for application; and
that he may also in like manner set apart for sale on
deferred payments such blocks or allotments, and
from time to time alter, amend, or revoke any such
Proclamation:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, Chief Jus-
tice of the Colony of New Zealand, and Adminis-
trator of the Government thereof, in pursuance and
exercise of the power and authority vested in me by
the above-named Act, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the land described in the Schedule hereto is set
apart for sale on deferred payments; and that Mon-
day, the thirteenth day of December, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty, shall be the day on which
the said land shall be open for application at the
Land Offices at Carlylo and Hawera, in allotments
as surveyed and marked on the selection maps in
those offices.
And, further, in pursuance of the fifth section of
"The Land Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1879," I do
hereby fix the price at which the land so described
shall be sold to the price set opposite each allot-
ment in the Schedule hereto.
