of Native Reserve at White's Bay; towards the
North by a right line to the north-eastern corner of
Section No. 37, Picton Suburban, thence by the
northern boundary of that section produced to the
Tua Marina River, thence by the northern boundary
of the Raydale Run to the north-western corner of
that run, thence by a right line to the north-western
corner of Section No. 9, Okaramio Valley, thence by
a right line to the north-eastern corner of Section
No. 72, Havelock Suburban, thence by a right
line to the south-west corner of Section No. 85,
Havelock Suburban, thence by the watershed
between the Atuhaua Stream and the Kaituna
River to the watershed between the Wairau and
Pelorus Valleys, and by that watershed to the water-
shed between the Wairau River and Blind Bay;
towards the North-west by that watershed over
Mount Rintoul to Ward's Pass, thence along the
northern and western boundaries of Sections No. 7,
4, and 3, Wiesenhavern's Run, known as the Red
Hills Reserve, to the Wairau River, thence northerly
along the right bank of that river to a point in line
with Tophouse and Barefell Pass; towards the West
by a right line from thence to the Awatere Sub-
division hereinbefore described; and towards the
South by the said Awatere Subdivision to the mouth
of the Awatere River, the starting point.
The Picton Subdivision.
Bounded towards the North and East by the
sea, from the head of that arm of Tennyson's Inlet
which is nearest to Squally Cove, Croisilles Harbour,
to White's Bay; towards the South by the Blenheim
Subdivision, hereinbefore described, to the watershed
between the Wairau River and Blind Bay; towards
the West by the summit of that watershed over
Mount Richmond and Dun Mountain, to the source
of the Pelorus River, thence by that river to its
confluence with the Heringa River, thence by that
river to its source at Saddle Hill, thence by the sum-
mit of the watershed over Mount Duppa, Castor
Peak, Mount Elliot, and Mount McLaren, to Tenny-
son's Inlet the starting point.
The Amuri Subdivision.
Bounded towards the East by the Blenheim,
Awatere, and Kaikoura subdivisions, hereinbefore
described, from the Wairau River to the mouth of
the River Conway, thence by the sea to the mouth of
the Waiauua or Dillon River; towards the South
by the right bank of that river; towards the West
again by the right bank of the said river to its con-
fluence with the Henry River, thence by that river
to its source at Travers' Peak; and towards the
North-west by the summit of the Spencer Range to
Mount Franklyn, thence by the summit of St.
Arnaud Range, to a point in line with the northern
boundary of Section No. 3, Wiesenhavern Run,
thence to and by said Section and the Wairau River
to the starting point.
WAIAU SHEEP DISTRICT.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Nelson. Bounded towards the North by the Henry
River, from its source at Travers Peak to its con-
CANTERBURY SHEEP DISTRICT.
ALL that parcel of land partly in the Provincial Dis-
tricts of Nelson, Canterbury, and Westland. Bounded
towards the North by the right bank of the Grey
River, from its mouth to the confluence with the
Arnold River, thence by the right bank of that river
to Lake Brunner, thence by a right line to the saddle
between the Teremakau and Hurunui Rivers, thence
to and by the right bank of the Hurunui River, to a
point due south of where the boundary fence be-
tween St. Leonards Run, and Balmoral and Culver-
den Runs strikes the Hurunui at or near the con-
fluence of the Pahau River; towards the West by
that boundary fence to the Waiauua or Dillon River,
again towards the North by the right bank of that
river to its mouth; towards the East by the sea to
the mouth of the Waitaki River; towards the South
by the right bank of that river to the confluence of
the Ohau River, thence by the right bank of that
river to its issue from Ohau Lake, thence along the
northern and eastern shore of that lake to the con-
fluence of the Dobson River, thence by the right
bank of that river to its source in the Southern Alps,
thence by the summit of the Southern Alps to Mount
Aspiring, thence by a right line to the mouth of the
Awarua River; again towards the West by the sea
to the mouth of the Grey River, the starting point;
and shall comprise the following subdivisions:β
The Westland Subdivision.
Bounded towards the North by the right bank
of the Grey River from its mouth to its junction
with the Arnold River, thence by the right bank of
that river to Lake Brunner, thence by a right line
to the saddle at the source of the Hurunui and Tere-
makau Rivers; towards the South-east by lines from
peak to peak along summit of the Southern Alps to
Mount Aspiring; thence towards the South by a
right line to the mouth of the Awarua River; and
towards the West by the sea to the mouth of the
Grey River, the starting point.
The Northern Subdivision.
Bounded towards the North by the right bank of
the Hurunui River from its source at the saddle to a
point due south of where the boundary fence between
St. Leonards Run and Culverden and Balmoral
Runs strikes the Hurunui River at or near the con-
fluence of the Pahau River, thence towards the West
by that line of fence to the Waiauua River, thence
again towards the North by the right bank of that
river to the sea; towards the East by the sea to
the mouth of the Waimakariri River; towards the
South by the right bank of the Waimakariri River
to its source in the Southern Alps; and towards
the West by the Westland Subdivision hereinbefore
described to the saddle at the source of the Hurunui
River, the starting point.
The Christchurch Subdivision
Bounded towards the North by the Northern Sub-
division hereinbefore described from the source of the
Waimakariri River to its mouth; towards the East
by the sea to the mouth of the Rangitata River;
towards the South-west by the right bank of that
