Franklyn, thence along the summit of the Spencer
Range to Travers Peak, and thence along the sum-
mit of the watershed to the saddle at the source of
the Hurunui and Teremakau Rivers; towards the
South by a right line from thence to the issue of
the Arnold River from Lake Brunner; thence by the
right bank of that river to its junction with the
Grey River, and thence by the right bank of that river
to its mouth; and towards the West by the sea to
the mouth of the River Heaphy, the starting point.
The Golden Bay Subdivision.
Bounded by the sea-coast from the mouth of the
River Heaphy to Reef Point, Tasman Bay, thence
in a straight line to the summit of Mount Richards;
thence in a Southerly direction by the summit of the
range to Mount Campbell, thence in a straight line
to Mount Peel, thence by the Buller and Grey
Subdivision to the mouth of the Heaphy River, the
starting point.
The Motueka Subdivision.
Bounded towards the East by the sea from Reef
Point, Tasman Bay, to the West Bluff; thence
towards the South-east by a right line to the con-
fluence of the Motupiko and Motueka Rivers, thence
along the right bank of the Motupiko River to the
boundary line between Sections Nos. 22 and 23,
square 5, thence along that boundary and the pro-
duction of it to the summit of the watershed between
the Tadmor and Motupiko Rivers, thence along the
summit of that watershed to the watershed between
the Hope and Tadmor Rivers, thence along the
summit of that watershed and by the nearest spur to
the confluence of the Hope and Buller Rivers;
towards the West by the Buller and Grey Subdivi-
sion hereinbefore described; and towards the North
and North-west by the Golden Bay Subdivision to
Reef Point, the starting point.
The Nelson Subdivision.
Bounded towards the North by the sea from the
West Bluff to the head of that arm of Tennyson's
Inlet, which approaches nearest to Squally Cove,
Croisilles Harbour; thence towards the East by a
right line to Mount McLaren, thence along the sum-
mit of the watershed, between the Pelorus and Blind
Bay over Mount Elliot, Castor Peak, Mount Duppa
to Saddle Hill, thence by a right line to the source
of the Heringa River, thence by the right bank of
that river to its confluence with the Pelorus River,
thence by right bank of that river to its source in
the Red Hills, thence by the summit of the water-
shed between the Wairau River and Blind Bay, over
Dun Mountain, Mount Richmond, Mount Rintoul, to
Ward's Pass; thence by Sections Nos. 7, 4, and 3,
Wiesenhavern's Run, known as the Red Hills
Reserve; thence Westerly to, and then along the
summit of St. Arnaud's Range to Mount Travers;
thence towards the South-west by the Buller and
Grey Subdivision hereinbefore described, to the con-
fluence of the Hope and Buller Rivers; and towards
the West by the Motueka Subdivision hereinbefore
described to the West Bluff, the starting point.
MARLBOROUGH SHEEP DISTRICT.
ALL that parcel of land, partly in the Provincial
District of Nelson and partly in the Provincial Dis-
trict of Marlborough. Bounded towards the North
and East by the sea from the head of that arm of
Tennyson Inlet which approaches nearest to Squally
Cove, Croisilles Harbour, to the mouth of the
Waiauua or Dillon River; towards the South by the
right bank of that river; towards the West again by
the right bank of said river to the confluence of the
Henry River, and by that river to its source at
Travers' Peak, thence along the summit of the
Spencer Range to Mount Franklyn, thence along
the summit of St. Arnaud Range to a point in line
with the northern boundary of Section No. 3,
Wiesenhavern's run, thence to and along the
northern boundary of said section, thence along the
western and northern boundaries of Sections No. 4
and 7, Wiesenhavern's run, known as the Red Hills
Reserve to Ward's Pass, thence by the summit of
the watershed over Mount Rintoul, Mount Rich-
mond, and Dun Mountain, to the source of the
Pelorus River, thence by that river to its confluence
with the Heringa River, thence by that river to its
source at Saddle Hill, thence by the summit of the
watershed over Mount Duppa, Castor Peaks, Mount
Elliot, Mount McLaren, to the starting point in
Tennyson Inlet, and shall comprise the following
subdivisions:β
The Kaikoura Subdivision.
Bounded towards the East by the sea from the
mouth of the River Conway to the mouth of the
River Kekerangu; thence North by the River Keke-
rangu to the junction of Benmore Stream, thence
by that stream to its source, thence by a tributary
of the River Ure to the southern boundary of the
Chalk Range Run, thence by the southern boundary
of the Chalk Range Run to the Upton Fells Run,
thence by the southern boundary of Upton Fells
Run to Upton Fells Run No. 2, thence by the
Fells Run No. 2 to Section No. 11 on the Upton Fells
Run, thence by that section to the eastern boundary
of the Camden Run No. 2, thence by that boundary
and the southern boundaries of Camden Run No. 2
to the summit of the dividing range between the
Awatere and Clarence Valleys; thence on the West
by a line along the said summit to Lake McRae Run,
thence by the eastern boundaries of that run to a
point where a right line drawn from the junction of
the Acheron and Clarence Rivers to the source of
the Conway River intersects it, thence by a right
line to the source of the River Conway, and thence
by the right bank of that river to its mouth, the
starting point.
The Awatere Subdivision.
Bounded towards the East by the sea from the
mouth of the Kekerangu River to the mouth of the
Awatere River; thence on the North and West by
the Awatere River from its mouth to a point on
Section 30, Wakefield Downs (being the south-
western corner of the Vernon Run), thence by a
right line to the south-western corner of Section 29,
Wakefield Downs, thence by the eastern side of the
road between Sections 33 and 29, Wakefield Downs,
and Sections 4 and 2, of Block I., District of Awa-
tere, to the Utawai Stream, thence by the Utawai
Stream to the northern boundary of Section 2, of
Block I., District of Awatere, thence along that
boundary to Maxwell Pass Stream, thence by the
Maxwell Pass Stream to the watershed, thence by
a tributary of the Taylor River to the Taylor River
at the base of a hill called the "Maori," thence by
the northern boundaries of the Dumgree and
Blairich Runs to the summit of the dividing range
between the Awatere and Wairau Valleys to Lang-
ridge Run No. 2, thence by the western boundary
of that run to the summit of the range, thence by
the said summit to Saxon's Pass, thence by the
stream running out of Saxon's Pass to the Acheron
River, thence by that river to the junction of the
Saxon, thence by the Saxon for a distance of two
hundred and ten (210) chains; thence by a line due
East and West to intersect a right line drawn from
Tophouse to Barefell Pass, thence by part of said
line to Barefell Pass, thence by the Guide River to
